Positional redundancy on this roster :hhh:
Hornacek's a dikk if he starts Kanter over Willy and plays either Sessions, McDermott, or Beasley ahead of Dotson.
Yeah y'all being unrealistic. Dotson still has to prove himself. I WANT to see the kid, but I don't think it's realistic to say he HAS to play over McDermott or Beasley and he's not gonna play the point

I think it's a stretch to say Dotson has a higher ceiling than Lee....at least at yours moment it is

Higher potential not ceiling; as in Lee is at his ceiling while Dotson's is unestablished. Dotson figures into our long term future as a young player and thus needs minutes and developmental focus. Lee and others who do not should either be dealt if serviceable (or better in Lee's case) and benched if they aren't. Dotson doesn't need minutes ASAP because he's better than guys, he needs minutes to find out how good he can be and start laying out the foundations for what our team will be 3, 4 and 5 years from now when KP and the rest of the youth are just hitting their primes.

...) Milwaukee has been working to trade several players to clear salary cap space, including guard Rashad Vaughn and center John Henson, league sources said. The Bucks have been willing to attach a second-round pick in offers for Vaughn recently, league sources said.

Sources: Bucks serious suitors for Jefferson

I'd absorb that contract for Vaughn and grab the second rounder with it...ship one of Jack/Sessions out to pasture and spend the first 12 games of the season looking to move one of Lee/KOQ for another asset and the roster space for everything to work once Noah's suspension is up. Vaughn, a second rounder and the best return for one of our logjam pieces as another rebuilding step would be nice to start things up.

Bold predictions, Hardaway averages 20+ for the season, and either Kanter or Willy will average 16 and 10 for the season.

Agreed on THJ, I think his preseason was promising as a scorer.

Other bold (and not-so-bold) predictions:
- The yearly drama will fall on Jeff Hornacek's future with the Knicks and Blatt's name will resurface pretty quickly

- Unless Frank averages 12 and 8, the media will go out of their way to make Monk and Smith out to be better than him. Literally had Bondy tweeting about how productive Monk's been this preseason while he shot low 30% range from the field.

- Beasley will have the Derrick Williams vibe all year but as we're in a rebuild, I think he's a prime candidate for a deadline trade.

- Our PG rotation closes the season with Frank starting and Baker backing up.

- KOQ is a goner by the deadline and probably sooner. Too much logjam and the fascination with Kanter makes it even worse. The only other possibility is Willy gets dealt which would require a legit package seeing how often he's been referenced in the team's future plans.

- Damyean Dotson and Willy Hernangomez are both part of fan controversies because people want to see them get more minutes while the Knicks are shopping Lee, KOQ, Kanter.

I have a horrible horrible feeling that Dennis Smith JR is gonna be a perennial all star. He killed it all pre season, hes ready to contribute now. Possible ROY. Not too sure how I feel about Frank... Hes a project....but hes a point guard. A point guard project just screams disaster. :francis:

Phil might be gone but his fingerprints arent dusted off yet :francis:

I think we took Frank because the roster needs to be overhauled. Along with the coaching staff. Picking Smith, a guy I also wanted at that spot would force us to be a playoff team.

This team probably has 3 more seasons of rebuilding. We'll see Thursday what Frank is made of. Until then, all the pgs ahead of him are more impressive.
