About time they gave Burke some minutes. I was fearful, they would give him the Dotson treatment. Burke, Hardaway, Beasley play well together.

KP plays well with Kanter. KOQ and Willy need to be back up C, PFs (I wish).

Lee and Thomas need to play off the bench. I really wish i was coaching this team. They have potential, just really bad lineups Beasley should be playing at sf with KP at pf.

Burke has some real potential. Frank will develop into his own but he needs to pass more from inside the perimeter and don't be afraid to take open shots or drive more. Even Rondo shoots. I wanna have confidence in Frank but I don't think he has it in himself to play better so I'm just gonna hold my opinion off til I see progress.

Tim’s been a surprise this season, I still don’t like that contract considering we could’ve had him cheaper and we traded him for a pick/player we don’t even have any longer. He’s just gotta work on his shot selection.
Respect.

It should be noted... Even though they have the same name, the Timmy we traded for a pick /player was not the same Timmy we signed for 18 mill.

With the circus in NY, there is a high chance that he'd have been a much more limited player today had he spend the time in NY.

I rarely give him this much props, but Ron Baker was big last night. Our guards collectively were getting killed going under screens. It's not all on them though, our bigs weren't showing to the ball handler AT ALL making trips to the rack pretty much easy as can be. Baker though, running through screens is literally his best talent in basketball (not really a compliment). He went in there and caused a lot of problems on the plays that Utah was getting easy looks for Rubio, Hood and Neto on.

Burke did well, he looks like he can hang out in a rotation. The fact it will come at Frank's expense is on the coach. Frank was bad in that first half but in the second half I don't think he did enough to warrant the quick hook. Missed the post game to see his explanation on it or if anyone bothered to ask.

With THJ back, this team isn't gonna be able to tank without dumping a couple of guys like Charlotte is trying to do. I still think our best option, having seen that nobody wants MKG's contract including the Hornets, is to package Lance Thomas and an expiring (prolly Doug) to bring in another under 25 player. He's an even worse shooter than Lance but he's a better passer, rebounder, cutter and defender. Doug would be missed some but his absence would make room to increase minutes for the younger guards to pair off while Lee or Hardaway slides to SF for a bit with the second unit.

I did a deep dive on Kemba to the Knicks and went hard selling the MKG alternative I keep mentioning to yall on Medium. Trade articles get a gang of clicks, so I'm really just looking to expand the audience a bit but I figured I'd share with yall since I haven't really pressed the issue on why I like a trade for Kidd-Gilchrist so much.

Also, I'm jacking this directly from the fellas at Realgm because I think yall could appreciate it...just a really good post about having patience with Frank after probably his weakest performance of the season (though also one where he barely had a chance to get into any rhythm at all). This is from one of my favorite posters to chop it up with about talent, his evaluations are usually on point.

Without looking at the spoiler, guess who is player A and who is player B.
Player A - 5.2 PPG, 2.5 APG, 2.1 RPG, 1.4 TO, 37.1, 34.8, 77.1, .455TS%, .425EFG%
Player B - 5.3 PPG, 3.5 APG, 2.3 RPG, 1.9 TO, 34.8, 30.1, 71.1., .423TS%, .397EFG%
A is Jrue Holiday; B is Frank
We all knew coming into the season that Frank was going to take some time to develop. After all, he should be a freshman in college now. Throughout the first 40 games, we've seen the highs and the lows of Frank, but even those who hate him, and y'all know who you are, cannot deny that he has potential. Whether or not he reaches it is up in the air, but to the fools who are calling him a bust and saying we should trade him, are, well...fools.
Player A was another guy who came into the NBA younger than the other guys in his class and he turned out to be a damn good, two way player. He was someone who Mecca, myself, and a few others who actually compared him to all of last season. Mecca said "Player A with a more European flair" and I was simplistic and said a "longer and better defensive Player A."
So, to everyone who is panicking that Frank is not doing as well as some thought he would...don't panic. He's still super early in his career and he's already shown he's an elite defender and a damn good passer. Just wait until he grows more accustomed to the NBA pace and the style of play, his role in the NBA, and once he has a full offseason to prepare (remember, he just finished his French league before starting with us).
I believe the future is bright...and to those who are freaking out, I say "woosah."

Are there any actual sources linking us to Kemba or is it just because he's on the trading block and we're linked with every single chucker, especially if he has a connection to NYC?

I have no concerns of Frank being a complete bust I think he's good enough defensively to carve a role.

My problem with the pick at the time and now is the limited upside. He's never gonna be a star he's ceiling is very solid role player and when you are picking top 10 in the draft u have to swing for the fences and go for upside

It's why at the time I preferred Kp over say a Winslow because the one thing you heard about Porzingis was the amazing upside and freakish ability for a man his size where I knew at best Winslow would be a 3 and D guy

Bagley reported the Hornets were ready to reach out to the Knicks and that the only thing holding the Knicks back was they don't want to eat a bad contract. That implies they'd be willing to either move Frank or a pick.

While I don't think Frank has offensive dynamo upside, I do think he has the upside to be a taller version of a Jrue Holiday or George Hill. Those are guys that are capable of scoring but better suited as third or fourth options who can focus on shutting down the opposing ball handler and making the right passes. It's closer to glue piece than all-star but it's also the sort of player that winning teams need. I will say though that we'll get a better idea on his upside after he gets an offseason training with NBA type trainers especially physically. The kid has a frame that could add a lot of lean mass which could help a lot on drives to the rack. Take a look at Donovan Mitchell's numbers at age 19, this is an age where a lot of players grow exponentially and Frank would be a freshman in college if he were born in America. Not saying you're wrong, but there's reason to believe that we haven't even seen what his potential maxes out at yet.
