im happy with the new team
very impressed, wasnt expecting much
a lot of yall think players are above criticism and i don't
and i'm also being realistic about how favorable our schedule has been

and again, for the last time lol i only bring up last year's record in comparision to this year's record to show that wins/losses wise, we are essential in the same place.

the way people talk, you would think we've had a 10 game turn around since melo left. its a false perception lol but its a easy perception

i don't know why people get upset when i bring it up. now if we go into january february and we still a few games above 500, den we can start saying those things

for the record, i didn't even bring it him. i never bring him up after a win or loss. its a bunch of weirdos in here then mention his name every time we go on a 6-0 run but are quiet when we lose games lol

just calling it how it is:yeshrug:

But really though, who here is really saying the Knicks are contenders? Most fans seem to agree that at best they are a 1st round exit playoff team. It was last year's team that was gassed up as being able to contend woth Cleveland by delusional fans who couldn't accept that melo is two steps slower and rose is washed up.

Melo does get a lot of undue hate and vitriol, I agree, but at the same time he is largely a victim of his own ineptitude. It's not being a "hater" when someone says the team is better without him, it's just a fact.

The offense is gonna look a tad bit more aggressive and exciting once THJ comes back. Is Baker a better 2 guard than Dotson though?
I know how this is going to sound before I say it, but...

It seems like Horn like Baker's defense and hustle :ld:

Like always, though, they seems to be unable to commit to competing or tanking. Most logical thing would be to commit to the tank and give Dotson a lot more minutes, imo.
Who knows, maybe theyre trying to get some guys trade value up to make some moves :manny:

knicks last year have a better winning percentage than the knicks from this year,
we have one more wins because we played 3 more games lol
we also won 6 road games
and like you said, a 12th best record as opposed to 17th lol

it felt flukey to you cause you are a hater lol
go back into that thread, no one was calling it a fluke
everyone was happy. the turning point came when phil called melo a ball stopper and switched up the offensive
we went on a losing right after that

a lot of dumb shyt in your post but i willl focus on the bold
we will revisit this next month or so, and i will gladly be wrong if you are correct, with rep.
the truth of the matter is, the team is performing better den expected and fans are overeacting
playoff teams win on the road, and depending on jarret jack and courtney lee to win for us on the road speaks for it self
the team is on the right track but we still lack the talent.
i'm happy with the effort i'm seeing, and there a fun to watch because again, there was no expectations coming into the season and all the internal drama is over

again,i understand fans like that we are playing a different type of basket as opposed to last years style. but stop acting like we are winning at some type of new level that wasnt seen when melo was here lol

you don't even watch okc games, lol
if you do you will clearly see its all their faults
putting it all on one player is lazy and typical hater shyt

You specifically said, "last year's team won more games at this point." Don't move the goal posts. I always harped on how the team had a negative net rating, porous defense and 4-1 record in games decided by 3 points or less were gonna bite them in the end if they didn't improve. Regression to the mean happens to most teams every year in the NBA. Any knowledgeable fan would know about this fact. Going from the 25th ranked defense to the 15th happened, because they stopped running the triangle and not getting rid of the two of the worst defenders in Carmelo and Rose playing heavy minutes. :mjlol:
The Knicks missed the playoffs for the last four years of Carmelo Anthony and 60 games under .500 during his six and a half year tenure, but this team making the playoffs wouldn't be another level from the pathetic second half of Melo era.
I've watched plenty of Thunder games. Not all his fault obviously; Westbrook and Donovan deserve their share, but Carmelo doesn't have the excuse of being a number one option or playing with scrub teammates anymore He's doing the same bullshyt of that he's doing in NY and Denver.
Scoffing at the notion of coming off the bench tells you all the need to know about his priorities.

hes not even here anymore, no need to bring him up everytime something good happens like we some jealous ex girlfriends
cause hes done a lot more for this team then anyone since patrick ewing
deserves a little respect at the end of the day, whether it was time to move on or not

That whole BS about Phil comments being the cause of the Knicks falling off has got to stop

The Knicks Are Bad Because They Were Never Actually Good
knicks made the playoffs 3 straight years before phil came
were one game away from making it for 4 straight, and thats with our startin center missing 6 weeks

phil came and his first move was bringing jose calderon and salembart dalembart to the team
hes is the sole reason reason why we sucked the last 3 years
the sole real
even for you melo haters, hes the one that re-signed him (didnt have to) and made him play a style that devalued his skills.

he made the system, he got all the players, he signed all the coaches. its his fault

This is what has me most upset, we got younger payers riding the bench and in street clothes. Why the hell was Dotson not active meanwhile sessions and Noah are?
For what good Hornaceck has done he's still more of an "old school" coach relying on older players. I want a full youth movement man Noah shouldn't even be here:snoop:Wackass Sessions wasn't in the nba anymore for a reason so of course we sign him:snoop:

That applies to both sides. If you don't want people talking about Melo, stop trying to throw subs every time this new team goes through a rough stretch, or if Frank has a few bad games....cause we all know where that type of shyt is coming from...it's cause y'all still feel some type of way about how the current situation came about.

keep it a buck you didn't expect any of this, you expected KP to struggle and look like a deer in headlights being the new number 1 option, you expected the french kid to be total garbage, you expected this team to be 6 games below .500....but that's not the case. It's OKC that looks like garbage, french kid looks legit, and the team is exceeding expectations. Listen brody I understand, it's ok.

This is coming from the top as well I think, they need to tell him let the youngsters get burn. They talking bout establishing a winning culture but we letting dudes play who won’t be here in a few years let alone next season.
