Melo is a not a new Yorker first of all, he never was.

Second it's mad transparent why you don't like him it's cause he's a phil pick for the "triangle" and you still holding that grudge over melo. Just call it what it is nobody asking you to root for him or the knicks.

So a cat born & spending their 1st 8 years of their life are not considered a New Yorker. When he was in Bmore they called him "lil NY". And if you want to get technical he spent half of his life in Baltimore/New York before going to college & then getting drafted.

So why the fukk are yall coming at me for not liking Frank. It's not that serious. Knicks fans are something else, I tell you.

*EDIT* @Derek Lee you must be in your feelings. I appreciate the neg, thanks

Spending your first 8yrs of your life doesn’t make you New Yorker or from philly, LA and etc.

You grow as a person and perfect your craft from the age 10-18.

How you gonna claim you from NY, LA if the only thing you know is the day care you went to.

Edit- this opinion has nothing to do with melo, just my general opinion on any person.

Me- Yo what high school you to go to?

Him- oh nah, I went to the ABC daycare, we moved out when I was 6.

That makes that person a NY native????

This got nothing to do with Frank, if we could do it over I'd take Mitchell over him and that's just being completely honest.

And nah melo not a new Yorker, he just got some roots here that's it. If any random Joe schmo tried to pull that I'm from NY I moved when I was 8 shyt we'd all clown him, let's keep shyt consistent.

Lmao Syracuse foh might as well claim buffalo cats as New Yorkers too while we at it.

Chris mullin, mark Jackson, Kenny Anderson, Kenny smith...I mean these are examples of NY ballers. Melo is not that. He a Baltimore dude and there's nothing wrong with that. That "coming home" shyt was always reaching and it was always corny.

So we willing to claim dudes who only been in the city for a few seasons as a forever knick but won’t claim a dude who spent his first 8 years of life in the city? In the hood too?:mjlol:
being a knick forever aint got shyt to do with actually being a new yorker.
what the hell do you remember from the first 8 years of your life
probably at best a handful of moments :dead:

Melo has lived in NY more than he's lived anywhere else breh. His parents were NY'ers, they called the nikka Lil NY in Baltimore. His wife is a New Yorker.
