does jermell have a chance?

will this be a competitive fight in y’all eyes who are familiar with both fighters?

I’ve seen a decent amount of canelo’s fights

with the charlo twins, I’m more so familiar with them by name…might’ve seen one or both of them fight like twice at most

I wanna say canelo by KO/TKO based on his history but can’t go out on that limb without really knowing that much about jermell…still moving up 2 weight classes is gonna be tough as shyt

In my eyes he has a chance but it's a small one. There's too many hurdles for Mell to overcome with added weight and how his stamina will be affected along with the layoff.

Even if the weight or layoff weren't factors I just don't think he'll be able to deal with the pressure Canelo will be bringing. Although he won, those Castano can't deal with pressure and trust me when I say he'll be star struck in the ring when he gets in their with Canelo. Canelx may be on the decline but he still has enough to deal with Mell.

Jermell will have his moments here and there but I believe he'll possibly gas in the mid rounds, along with the damage inflicted upon him by Canelo and he'll fold. I got Nelo by 8th or 9th round stoppage.

Yeah, I'm on the same page. I think Mell can make it an interesting fight if he boxes on the outside and continues to make Canelo move and not able to plant his feet. I don't think Jermell is just gonna show up to lose, he's deff gonna try to make something happen.

Mell adopted well the 2nd Castano fight. I feel the first fight dude was overthinking.

that said my concern with Mell is will his power carry up + can he take canelos punches all night

If he's in great shape...a very good chance..especially if his power is there...he'll go for the knock out and he can move his feet well. He looked almost perfect his last fight.

I keep hearing comments that Charlo has the advantage because "He'll be the quicker guy that can outbox Canelo"
When has Charlo ever been light on this feet, or has outboxed anyone? :patrice::mjlol:

Charlo got a chance to win. But since Charlo does not have these aforementioned advantages, his only hope to get his offense going IMO is to trade with Canelo, and I'm not sure how well that will work out for him
