Damn why all this Spence hate...yea the fight was tougher than expected but we all knew it was going to be a hard fight but did think it was going to be clearer than the Brook fight. Honestly Kell Brook should move back down to 147. I would favor him over any welter not names Spence or Pac.

The Garcia fight doesn’t interest me for Spence. Garcia doesn’t have that dog in him. He lost 2 fights not by being outclassed but by a complete lack of effort. I can’t root for nobody who would cruise to a UD loss with no sense of urgency.

Nobody hates Spence. I've always thought Spence was a fantastic fighters. I just hate his fanbase, because their filled with Floyd stans (the biggest casuals on the planet) who didn't know/care for Spence until Floyd attached his name to Errol. After that they started treating home like the boogeyman who the whole division is running scared from

Spence is a very good fighter. Maybe even great. Is he the #1 WW? Most likely (between him and Pacquiao really). But he's not in a whole different class and leagues above the rest of the guys at 147. Yet he's being treated like he is. None of the top guys are easy work for Spence (or any of the guys) so nikkas need to stop fukking saying that shyt

We need to appreciate Porter more, I always like him ever since he broke through against Alexander, I understand if his style of fighting is not everyone's cup of tea but dude gave us 2 of the best welterweight fights of the last few years with him vs Spence and Thurman, in both he was the one who mostly initiated the offense. Him vs Swift wasn't bad either imo although not as good as the aforementioned two.

And of course his shellacking of Malignaggi and how he bullied Berto

To be fair on the come up Spence was more impressive beating the usual gatekeepers and stepper uppers (completely no different the Crawford, who looks really great beating average comp.) That’s usually how a prospect or fighter get labled as special.

I thought Spence would control the fight in a better fashion then brook. I thought it was going to be more of the same but clearer as in hard fight but easy to score for a Spence win. I was dead wrong. Spence went life and death with Porter. Spence showed that his footwork and defense is mediocre tho. His jab was basically non existent against porter for the most part. Spence had to fight tooth and nail to win them rounds.

The only person who showed that they are a head above this 147 class is PAC with his clear decisive win over Thurman.

after watching this fight again

while a clear fight of the year candidate and a great fight ...i still rate pac vs thurman above it for the welters..but PBC making top fighters in their divisions fight goes a long way to strengthening the brand..its not a new concept lol

adding to the argument of who beat porter the best (brook, thurman, spence) from some pages back..this fight makes kell brook beating porter look 100x times better....now the cats who have been here for awhile know my views on shawn porter and his fighting...kell brook was the only one i felt beat porter in a way where a clear level was shown and it was decisive..the only thing wrong was the idiot judge who scored that fight a draw while the 9-3,8-4 scores were more in line with how the fight played out..brook boxed porter's head off...thurman and spence went life and death with porter..hell chinny ass julio diaz who drew with porter didnt even do that .at least the official scores in the thurman-porter fight were on the mark so no complaints..but spence didnt win a 116-111 type fight..it was a lot closer than that

Nah..Spence is the most relentless and prolific body puncher in boxing. His highlight reel has several body punch KOs. Porter was wincing and feeling that shyt by that incredible 9th round.
