9/28 PBC on FOX PPV: Errol Spence vs Shawn Porter (WBC/IBF Welterweight Title unification)

Been a Spence fan for minute. Glad he finally got some "just due"...

My homies were rootin for Porter to take the fight. One actually calls himself a boxing afficinado and predicted Spence would be a walkover for Porter....

Clowns....

Had Spence slightly ahead of Porter, most of the fight. Porter is definitely a dog. At times (especially early), his aggression and power, had me a little...

I felt that it was more in Spence's head tho. Porter been thru some wars...but Spence has the talent. Spence just had to get past his own self-doubt.

Porter thought he was gonna overwhelm him, and once it became apparent Spence was poised...it was game over...

Porter getting wobbled solidified the W.
Let's be clear...Porter's fighting style forced Spence to fight an ugly fight. Porter took him to that place...and Spence overcame the adversity...


As far as Im concerned...if I was Spence, Porter gets no rematch until I solidify my destiny/legacy...

He's a trap fight, but will always be top tier B level to the Porter fans...

He's no champ. He's just happy to be there. Always the last walkover...and the last henchman you gotta beat to face the final boss...

As far as Garcia goes...he wouldn't get a title shot from me, until he proved he could even beat Porter in a rematch...

benavidez vs dirrell

the benavidez from the first gavril fight showed up...dude was not impressive..dirrell boxed him the hell up..the jab by benavidez that ripped open his eyelid won him the fight...benavidez def threw an elbow to make that shyt worse...dude was on his way to getting that droopy eyelid..once ant couldnt see shyt was a wrap..didnt like seeing him battered after that..good fight

benavidez's age makes it impressive, but other than that, he is a little lucky that this division is flabby and sick. dirrell was just way too battleworn to do what he otherwise would have done. i do think that being so young means that he could retire as one hell of a well rounded 175.

thats why i never cared for hbo going out. they turned bias af toward the end. i had to mute that shyt.

The fight went exactly how I knew it would go...
I'm am even more unimpressed with spence than I ever was before...

Dude is good, but he isn't anything special

He has the talent, but I will capitulate and say there is room for improvement. He makes some careless mistakes a fighter at his level shouldn't make defensively. Honestly he needs to fight the Thurmans, and the D. Garcias, and the Ugas's of the world. He needs more experience, but to have started boxing late in his life the level he is at right now is impressive. I hope he learns from this fight and tightens up his defense, he kinda gets sloppy defensively and throws it by the wayside at times. Porter just didn't have the power to capitalize off of it.

just finished watching porter vs spence @Knicksman20

outstanding fukking fight...a clear FOTY...with that being said it was dumb close

i had it 114-113 Spence..the KD was the reason

Spence gives me Hurd vibes because Porter was landing a lot..Spence needs to tighten that D..Porter also rocked him enough times to make me go
Porter fought like a man possessed on a mission. One of the few times I was actually impressed by Porter fighting because I dont know how he took the shyt he took. the KD was a thing of beauty caught at the right time as shawn was throwing, right on the chin. Then Porter came roaring back for the rest of the fight. i thought Spence would win but i thought Spence would beat him down and stop him late due to me perceiving Porter struggling to make weight and starting to get worn down. Now I dont have a problem with Spence being on a p4p 10 list..he earned it. But he is not head above any welter at this time. He is very beatable or risk to really get broke by a prolific puncher. Great fight..time to watch Benavidez vs Dirrell

I had Porter winning by the same score but knew the fight could easily go to Spence as well. I thought the official scores were a little wide for both. Porter did exactly what I thought he would do but had way more sustained success than I thought. He imposed his will & more times than not got the better of the exchanges. Boxing as a whole caught a W last night
