I gotta go with 24 Kobe. 8 Kobe was like my idol, used to have a lil fro like him too back in the day. 24 is just so polished, foot work incredible. Both have questionable shot selection :manny:. Also June 17, 2010 my 24th birthday :blessed: thank you godbe
That's pretty cool. What the fukk are the odds of that? I mean the Ravens won the conference title game on my birthday a few years ago, but the actual championship on your 24th with the star player wearing that number is as unlikely as can be.

Norfeast groovin…
his birthday is August 24th aka 8/24

he used the 8 for August at first but then changed it to the date 24

Nah, Kobe's birthday is on 8/23, Kobe Day is on 8/24. He changed the number because he was moving on to Nike and Adidas had the rights to #8 or some shyt like that so he switched back to his first high school jersey number which was #24 because the number he wore for the majority of high school was already retired (#33). That's why Kobe won't sign any #8 jerseys now, only #24.

To answer the question, #8 simply because he was at his absolute peak as #8 but #24 was arguably the most skilled shooting guard ever.

I can't really choose, I mean #8 was flashier and after Shaq left forced to be more 'selfish' but like mentioned #24 is/was more calculated and probably a better leader...

I wonder if Lakers are gonna retire both though...:patrice:
