Working with Pedro Diaz
Yeah i think I saw him the other day getting his hands wrapped for sparring with Diaz if I’m not mistaken.
I hope they only spend a week or two only doing those drills and specifically doing bag/mitt work, getting his fundamentals right (3 a day workouts for a couple hours is easy work) and then get him sparring for the rest of the camp.
And I’m not just talking about full blown sparring, but working sparring where the coach stops him and lets him know what he’s doing wrong.
And then full blown sparring.
I wouldn’t even worry too much about his roadwork. I still think he should run but 2/3 miles every couple days should be fine. He’s already in great physical shape. He needs to be comfortable in the ring against better fighters than Jake… that should be his main objective.
And if Dana is smart, he would put his money behind training Woodley and getting him solid sparring partners and trainers.
