Some are theorizing (?) that pbc knew for a while but didn’t say anything so they didn’t completely deflate the Manny vs ugas fight.
That’s more plausible than it being a fake injury but still doesn’t make a ton of sense if they are indeed giving refunds. Also most of the money is made via ppv and it doesn’t matter how short a notice you give if the replacement fight is trash ppl still ain’t going buy it

I honestly think Ugas was in the contract to be the replacement that why it wasn’t any fuss about switching to Ugas on short notice..i do find it funny how Ugas opponent had an injury also…

This is boxing so you never knows.

the fabian maidana eye injury is really convenient, but the spence eye injury is not, where do you draw the line. pulling out this close to fight will not look good even if he did get injured it has to draw some skepticism.

I don't have a plan or the answers, but it's always something wit these goofy ass sports. Either a marquee fight every 2-3 years or fighters duckin each other, or an injury, or some type of blimdside to the fans, etc, etc. shyt is ridiculous..:hhh:

Folks might be ok, if some other marquee match-ups were going on, but they never are. Sport has turned into a complete joke in the last decade (and even prior). One day that loyalty is gonna wane.

I just can't see ugas being in the contract as a replacement when he was already contractually obligated to fight maidana on the undercard. Seems more like PBC just made some shyt happen once they knew Spence was out. And I'm sure pac had no say in who his replacement would be. I think they're just banking on pac being able to sell this fight alone.

But two guys going down with eye injuries. On the same day. On the same card. Now their opponents are facing off. Those are some crazy fukkin odds. I Think PBC already spent too much on promo to scrap this shyt now. They had to pull something out their ass so they could at least make some of that money back. I don't know what the fukk happened, but we definitely ain't getting all the facts.
