I'm gonna give Errol the benefit of the doubt and say he's not drinking anymore, like he said. I've heard him for a long time that slurred speech seems to be consistent with him. I'm not gonna put that on him. I think that incident was a wake up call for him and he's moved on from it.
I do believe he kicked the drinking. But wouldn't be surprised if he's still on pain pills from the accident. Actually his speech reminds me exactly of somebody who's taking pain meds. Used to think it was the new teeth but he should have adjusted to those already. He just always looks drowsy and uncomfortable. I know people are gonna say he's always been that way. But this is different. Like he completely forgets how to pronounce words sometimes. That's a congitive thing. He still seems sharp with the memory so don't think it's brain damage. Just think it's possible he could be on some shyt. That Brian Kenny interview he did shortly after his accident actually makes more sense now. Everybody thought he was drunk but he was prolly just medicated the fukk out.
I just don't believe your body can ever fully recover from an accident that bad. So it wouldn't shock me at all if he still gotta take pain pills. And I wouldn't even blame him. I don't like to make assumptions but we gotta admit there's something off about him.
Watch this interview and tell me this is the same
I still favor him in this fight cause I think even an 80% Errol Spence should be enough to beat this version of Pacquiao. But if this is the same Spence from the Danny fight this can go either way.
