AJ has proven to be an adaptable fighter despite critics calling him robotic.

Adjusted well in his fight against Whyte, adjusted well and got up off the canvas in his fight against Wlad and managed to reclaim his belts against Ruiz.

Think he comes with a good game plan and makes the adjustment to win. He simply cannot sit back and box with Usyk. He has to brawl in this fight to win. I've seen Holyfied quoted in this thread. I think AJ channels some Holyfield in this fight and fights on the inside.

I think he stops Usyk with a well timed uppercut in the later rounds.

Joshua didn't lose by a lucky punch or gassing out or something. He also wasn't chasing Usyk around the ring or whatever.

Usyk stood in the middle of the ring and beat this dude up for 12 rounds and the size difference is the only thing that kept him on his feet. :why:

If Usyk hit so soft AJ was willing to walk through it to get to him he would've. But instead he got rocked with a left in the first round and learnt better.

Waaaaaay too many things need to be different for this fight to have even a remotely different outcome.

this..im one of joshua's biggest fans on here...the ruiz fight there were many reasons why that defeat happened and it was corrected..this one there was absolutely none...a close fight that usyk caused clear separation in the rounds he needed to do it...aggressive is one thing but usyk is too sharp a puncher for that and now he's bulked up theres a good chance he's going to have more behind his punches if he sits on them

But he'll lose stamina and speed. Not necessarily a good trade off

Not necessarily :manny:

It's been clear for about a year now that Usyk's camp has a crystal clear projection for his physical development as a heavyweight. He's only looked bigger, stronger, and sharper in each fight at the division with no notable trade off. The guy who struggled to get Chisora off of him was not that guy hurting AJ from the jump.

If he wants to fight Fury, he's going to have to be strong enough to deal with Fury's smothering tactics, and that sort of development needs to start yesterday if you want it tomorrow.

I really wouldn't be surprised if he gets AJ out of there by 7-9.

Especially as, I'd AJ's only chance to win this fight is to press the issue...it shouldn't be Usyk's stamina being worried about.

the only about usyk we know from the first fight thats a detriment is he can get busted up...that was prolly the first fight ive seen usyk looked like he was put through the grinder...if joshua ups his offense its also very possible he can rip open some serious cuts on usyk's face

Just rewatching the fight. AJ had Usyk hurt with them body shots in the 5 then he stopped using them :gucci:

Had him hurt again in the 6th with 2 straight rights and a right hook towards the end of the round.
