Wardlow as a face has been pretty mid since the MJF feud if we're being honest. His whole "welcome to Wardlow's world" attempt at a catch phrase is cringe.

If they are gonna have Daniel Bryan incorporate the concussions into the storylines and pump fake that he's in serious jeopardy why not put Wardlow over as a killer by having him powerbomb Bryan back onto the injured list?

It's hard as fukk to book a dominating face that fickle fans won't turn on. The Orange Cassidy match worked because they both played their roles well but having him injure Danielson would kill his character. If he's getting audibly booed before Full Gear then change directions, but I don't see the point of doing that now

That's not a card you can use all the time. Danielson used it to put García over and he'll probably use it in this match too. But him always "being in jeopardy" of concussion in his matches will get old FAST and a worker like Dragon knows that better than anyone else.

I think that's why it would be more effective to make a big change before it got to the point where people were booing him. Him being a ruthless killer plays more to his strengths than him cutting these lame pandering promos about "the hardworking people of Cleveland" and shyt. Plus he has way more big name opponents to work with as a heel than he does against big name heels at the moment. CM Punk, Moxley, Bryan, a returning Omega, Hangman. The babyface list is a lot longer when it comes to main eventers. Plus if MJF returns as a babyface you could flip the entire dynamic where he could be the one to stop Wardlow's reign of terror. Just my thoughts

I agree with you and I hope they don't harp on it too much in this rematch but that's why I think it would be more effective as I mentioned above to do a surprise Wardlow turn quick. If they are gonna tell the story of Bryan being a concussion risk I think a more beneficial outcome is a heel exploiting that and injuring him soon than it being a long running thing that he "overcomes"
