Wtf was the point of the Brock cash in only to job to Rollins again at Summerslam?
In order for there to be a legit mitb winner, they have to first create another top star to have the mitb winner chase. If seth can remain on top until next year, and they can get KO to that level then they can have an underdog mitb winner sneak in and surprise the dominant champ.. MITB only ever worked cause it got a mid carder like edge and MIZ over on Cena who at the time was 80's hulk hogan. It wouldnt have ever worked if the champ was anybody but Cena at that time.

If they had some mid carder win mitb and they went on to beat Seth for the title it wouldnt have been a big deal since most of the guys on the roster are about even, so they need to build Seth up so when he loses it puts the next guy over.

Nice to know that Seth still absolutely refuses to sell anything. Over 15 years in the business and he hasn't learned a fukking thing.

Gotta give them credit for getting the crowd behind Rollins, but isn't this radically pointless? He beat Brock at WM, why did he need to beat him here? What was accomplished?

Brock getting the surprise mitb win was supposed to give you the impression that not only was he back but he was eventually going to have another long title reign. When he beat seth's ass for two weeks, that was supposed to give you doubt that he would ever lose. They were playing on the idea that Brock isnt a transitional champ and no one would expect him to lose to a guy thats 175lbs.. Seth's win showed that his win at WM wasnt a fluke, since he no longer had the element of surprise, it showed Seth is tough and can legit take down a guy like brock, so this gives him credibility that he will be hard to beat straight up.

Vince looking at New Day was funny

they got their boss to smile

impressive

I'm convinced Vince fukks with them because they are living the characters.... Big E going ham doing the pretty match announcement even though he is behind the curtain and we cant even see the shyt. Most wrestlers probably just stand behind the curtain looking bored before matches or checking their social media..... like kofi said "stay ready so you don't have to get ready"

Can you explain to me what's so good about KO?
He is over as fukk, he has always had the IWC now he has the paying audience i the palm of his hands, he is solid in ring and is getting better at promos. Plus just using the stunner has elevated him, the only down side to him is he looks like the average fan at home. However using a move like the stunner and having him be the "peoples champ" works for him since the average joe can relate to him..

I dont agree with any of that..... people are cheering him now because they are tired of shane... his stunners are horrible... I never liked his ring work... he is like a caw.... lets just give him every single move and I'm sure he'll get some cheers.... 5'11 with a powebomb as a finisher is the dumbest thing i've ever seen in my life. His swanton bomb is garbage his frog splash is garbage and his super kick is garbage....

I'm not buying this random "face turn" stone cold run or whatever you want to call it.. especially considering that the original stone cold run was as a heel and people just organically started fukking with austin.

Kevin owens looks like a tough enough contestant that shouldn't even have made the TV show :camby:

Pretty Decent show
That RKO Kofi match was hot garbage, like wtf were they trying to do. It made everyone look bad, the crowd had every right to shyt on the ending

I skipped ALL the womens matches, I just think the stories for their matches have been generic and lazy

AJ and Riccochet was dope it was nice to see AJ win with 1 styles clash

No tag or or IC matches (the pre show never counts) on the big ppv is telling how they feel about them belts

Goldberg and Dolph was what it should have been,

Seth vs Brock was dope, its time yall stop with the narrative that Brock is lazy and doesnt have good matches. He is constantly entertaining, and plays the monster heel very well
I dont really care to see Seth with the title tho, I think KO should be holding that belt

Edit

oh and Bray's entrance was cool, he really is committed to the gimmick which is nice to see for once in this era of everyone just being a fitness model with a bytchy attitude.
However I still dont get why they use Finn for his debut and why not have him be the Demon smh
No Brock can have good matches he also has lazy formulaic matches as well . That’s why people were complaining about Brock

Cuz you don't waste it without any build up. Now that Fiend destroyed Finn, Finn can go take his break and when he comes back he has a built in feud. Let him do video packages and shyt saying how he had to go away because he had to go to a side he never voluntarily wants to go. Have him hint at The Demon's return and make the character mean something. Let it finally have a purpose.

Now you set yourself up for an anticipated Demon vs Fiend match at possibly a major PPV. Only thing with that is someone's character has to come out on top but they can just do something where both guys just beat the shyt out each other into a double KO or something. :yeshrug: Modern day Mankind vs Undertaker.

That works because AJ heel work is.... phenomenal. And an all out war between New Day and The OC would be pretty interesting

Hogan also had a 6 yr run as champ... let's not count kofi out due to some stupid as canadian chants.... hehe 4 months in let's see who his next opp is... obviously he will run it back with orton at clash of champions.... I think he should also face orton at hell in a cell to end the feud... and retain of course

Kofi has been on a roll since the gauntlet before Elimination Chamber, which was back in February. This should’ve been a decisive win for Kofi and moving on.

Show ratings?
Best matches?

Best matches:

Charlotte/Trish
Rollins/Lesnar

SummerSlam as a whole - 4/10. A lot of these matches had dead crowd reaction or just were your typical MNR/SD Live matches on a SummerSlam card. We all knew Goldberg & Bray Wyatt were winning from the jump. Charlotte/Trish started to build momentum but the Kofi/Orton match killed it especially with that countout finish.
