In order for there to be a legit mitb winner, they have to first create another top star to have the mitb winner chase. If seth can remain on top until next year, and they can get KO to that level then they can have an underdog mitb winner sneak in and surprise the dominant champ.. MITB only ever worked cause it got a mid carder like edge and MIZ over on Cena who at the time was 80's hulk hogan. It wouldnt have ever worked if the champ was anybody but Cena at that time.Wtf was the point of the Brock cash in only to job to Rollins again at Summerslam?
If they had some mid carder win mitb and they went on to beat Seth for the title it wouldnt have been a big deal since most of the guys on the roster are about even, so they need to build Seth up so when he loses it puts the next guy over.
Nice to know that Seth still absolutely refuses to sell anything. Over 15 years in the business and he hasn't learned a fukking thing.
Gotta give them credit for getting the crowd behind Rollins, but isn't this radically pointless? He beat Brock at WM, why did he need to beat him here? What was accomplished?
Brock getting the surprise mitb win was supposed to give you the impression that not only was he back but he was eventually going to have another long title reign. When he beat seth's ass for two weeks, that was supposed to give you doubt that he would ever lose. They were playing on the idea that Brock isnt a transitional champ and no one would expect him to lose to a guy thats 175lbs.. Seth's win showed that his win at WM wasnt a fluke, since he no longer had the element of surprise, it showed Seth is tough and can legit take down a guy like brock, so this gives him credibility that he will be hard to beat straight up.
