I know he's not ready, but to his credit, that belt was something else in his possession. Like, it MATTERED. Not the idea of it/perks (Cole) or the culmination of a long journey (Gargano)... but the belt MATTERED to Ciampa.
It doesn't help that the current NXT champion is at best, the third-best pure in-ring talent of the stable he leads.

I like that gargano is still in NXT, they need some mainstays not everybody need to be on the main roster. It makes NXT more interesting to have some vets around

I agree, it feels like as of late they’ve treated it as a true minor league. In baseball, some players will stay in the minors for a long ass time before getting called up.
