black athletes and paternalism. Thats all it is.
And I say this as a guy who is completely against the use of guns, and think the 2nd amendment should be revoked.
And yes, Peter King has been one of the top "I am going to take care of these athletes" guys for nearly 20 years.

yes, I think that. Problem?
We lead the the developed world in gun violence. Im completely against it, but its probably futile now because of how prevalent guns are in American culture.
I'm torn on the issue. On one hand I don't own a gun and I think the main underlying feeling that compels people to get guns is a desire to kill black males....even among other black people.
On the other hand:
Protecting yourself against the feds if the revolution jumps off
nikkas have guns so I should probably get one too
Crackers have guns so I should probably get one too
But yeah if noone had guns I'm all for revoking the 2nd amendment.
What the black community needs is gun education. My sons will know about guns rightfully rather than the twisted interpretation given to it on the streets.
I want to see black NRA membership swell. THEN you'll see the true colors of these people.
I think where you are has a lot to do with the necessity of gun ownership as well.
Like you said, most people in the hood carry guns to protect themselves, but if you live in an area where there is virtually no gun voiolence and a very low violent crime rate, why put a loaded weapon in your household?

In saying that because its a constitutional right for people to have it, then let people have it if they want it.
I have said the exact same thing. If black people became stronger gun advocates and joined the NRA or even better started a counter NRA that focused on "urban" gun ownership...that would change a lot shyt. What the black community needs is gun education. Reduce the amount of people catching illegal gun cases
Black people doing more self policing in their own community
And if the gun lobby had a black face we would have a lot more in the way of gun control. Politicians like
my bad dawg, I forgot the British were coming to take back this country.Yes, because it's a viewpoint that illustrates gross ignorance on the second amendment and why it was added to the constitution.
I agree with that. Since the 2nd amendment wont go anywhere, it would be better for more minorities and people in urban dwellings to get involved in the gun ownership debate and the NRA and groups of that ilk.I have said the exact same thing.
