Glad to hear, I think dudes should really analyze whether or not they truly need a gun.

How many times do you hear anything good come out of an athlete and his gun ownership?

what are you supposed to hear when many of them have guns and absolutely nothing happens?

That's exactly the good that comes out of gun ownership. NOTHING HAPPENS.

You've never taken a gun course in your life, have you?

Stephen Jackson may have saved Jamal Tinsley's life because he was carrying.. there's one off the top.

I'm not sure what success stories you're expecting... this is a no news is good news type of thing.

This whole "debate" seems strange to me. An athletes need for a gun isn't any more or less than the average person's need for a gun. So why is this being discussed so hard in the context of sports...

Well doesn't nothing happen plenty of times when you don't have a gun as well.

Nothing happens in my life and I don't own a gun, is that considered a great success? I`m safe and sound and everything is cool.

My point is, where is the story of the athlete whose packing who saves a bank robbery? Or the one who prevents a child from being kidnapped? Or the one who had someone try to come in his house and take valuables and was thwarted by him carrying?

You never hear of a good story when it comes to gun ownership, but you do hear of Rae Carruth's, Javon Belcher's, Plaxico Burress, Junior Seau etc so on and so forth.

And nothing happens pleny of times when you do. This country has more guns in it than people, yet....amazingly, we don't see 300 million plus shootings every year. You know why? Because nothing happens when most people carry guns. If that proves guns shouldn't be carried around in the first place, then by all means, be my guest. But it's retarded to advocate that because someone never had to use their gun, they shouldn't have one or there isn't a need for one.

black athletes and paternalism. Thats all it is.

And I say this as a guy who is completely against the use of guns, and think the 2nd amendment should be revoked.

And yes, Peter King has been one of the top "I am going to take care of these athletes" guys for nearly 20 years.

:wtf: What kind of nuts are running around this damn league

Leagues turned into a halfway house

Some people around are going to be real sad when the NFL jumps the shark, and its coming soon.

Yeah but like you i'm anti gun so why should be mad? IMO NFL players need to stay out of the hood.

huh? what does "the hood" have to do with this?

And even tho I am anti-gun, its still their constitutional right to keep a gun.

The "hood" has nothing to do with jack. Most people in the hood carry around guns for protection and nothing happens to them.
