funny how you came repeating the same bullshyt you saw on some website crying about how obama will be the end of the U.S all high and mighty without taking two minutes to actually fact check but yet you still staying on course with how "ominous" things are and you wonder why you clowns can't be taken seriously. those "ominous" trends for 16-24 is because of the expected increase in school enrollment for that age group and even if it wasn't that's a long term issue, right now the focus is on getting the economy back on track which is seems like it's doing.

It's a pathetic attempt to discredit Obama. We use one set of numbers for all prior presidents, but when it comes to Obama, let's not pay attention to that metric and use something else.

Let's get down to the real questions...

if unemployment was 7.7% why are more stores continuing to go out of business, more families getting kicked out their homes and more homelessness out in the street?

How do you average the population of a Nation of 310 plus Million people to only have 7% out of work. How many of this is broken down to working people/working fulltime/part-time/weekends/holidays etc?

88 Million People are without employment...that's the reality..not this 7.7%.

The official Unemployment rate is 7.7%. Now if you want to make the case that we should change our employment metrics that's debatable. But to attempt to undermine the numbers based on who is in office reeks of an agenda.

:stop: Undermine is a overstatement when Millions are homeless, no good jobs are staying in America and businesses galore are closing up shop.

Sadly the only agenda here is the one to promote an illusion that 7.7% is an actual number that reflects reality. That's the only official thing.

Because in the past when UE % went down, labor participation went up. Why, because they didn't redefine who they counted as "unemployed". Now if you are out of the work force for more than a certain period of time, you don't get counted at all, which makes the UE # lower w/o reflecting an actual uptick in jobs

Workforce participation is at its lowest point in over 30 years... i.e. there hasn't been a higher % of working age Americans out of work since Carter... so what is the UE% worth, it is of zero value
Unemployment is probably in the 15-25% range but let's all dream

The Baby boomer generation is retiring in waves, and the replacement generation is smaller in population. Thats what largely explains the discrepancy. Get out of the right wing bubble.

Currently?? In the future?? When??? By the rest of your statement, I assume you're talking about with respect to the current job #'s.

You have any numbers to back up this claim?:beli:

Simple logic.

The right wing spin is that the employment rate is dropping because a discouraged work force has simply "given up". That spin isnt in agreement with the U6 figures, which accounts for that very unit of employment analysis:

Additionally, you are aware of the baby boomer population and its social and economic implications correct? Well, they've been at retirement age for a minute, so....

We're talking 350k/mo retirement average (and most months have 30 days which would be 300k/mo if they didn't estimate low). And yes, of course, this is happening in real time.
