Personally I think it was the smartest gameplan to take. Say whatever you may want to about Mikey, dude can fukking punch you aint just gonna go in there and get into a war with him and not expect to get damaged.
I also think it was a personal thing as well on a smaller note since Mikey and his brother were disrespecting Spence's ability to box before the fight. Spence did say in interviews leading up to the fight he was gonna give him a boxing lesson and he did just that.
SN: I just know for people saying Porter's quick feet gave Spence problems, Spence had NO TROUBLE AT ALL cornering Porter and cutting him off. Only took him two rounds to do it as well and Porter has better footwork than Crawford does. What gave Spence trouble was Porter's feints and how akward they were... not his footwork.
let me rephrase the question. what was it about mikey garcia, that errol spence felt he needed to box him to beat him, that terence crawford can not also do to him? would you find it fair to say that, should he feel like he will have to do that again, he will be able to out box terence crawford the same way he out boxed mikey garcia?

my take away was that he didn't want to walk into anything crazy. if that is correct, i believe he will take a similar approach with crawford, with my overall point being just that, the fight will look a little more like a chess match than what people are expecting.
lets put it this way klutch, if terence crawford knocks out errol spence, then you will finally see why i was such a skeptic all along.I don’t know, but I know you said Mikey Garcia was going to win and he got obliterated. Spence typically tells you how he is going to approach a fight before it happens, he said he would box Mikey amd he did that, he said he wasn't gonna take any steps back and was gonna fight Porter in the phone booth and he did, he said since Ugas was talking about his eye he was gonna target Ugas eye and he did. He is now saying this is gonna be a one sided ass whooping, so take that for what you will. If he says he's gonna approach a fight a certain way he usually at least tries to do it.

If it came to this, yes I think Spence would outbox Crawford as well, granted Crawford would win more rounds than Mikey did because he has physical attributes that will help him more than Mikey did.
And if he doesn’t and Spence wins… then what? You’ll finally admit to being wrong about something? Lol
i think that just generally speaking if the fight goes the distance then the most likely outcome is that spence wins a decision, just because he is the busier fighter between the two. but i don't think it goes the distance.
