There's ways too but dj have to work on his footwork though, honestly was a flat out terrible outing for him
this is why I'm like Errol needs a rebuilding year.

a Jan, May/June, and Fall fight.

Heal now and use Jan + May/June to put in the new tooling in + see how you feel at 154, and then Fall aim for Mell/Bud 154 undisputed winner or a Vacant 154 belt.

a rematch in Dec just = Same Errol but cut less weight. Dude should use that year to fill out and gain strength too.

I actually said this on fight night, there's a reason Pacquiao wanted Spence and not Crawford.

Why would you go after the bigger fighter in your division and not the lighter fighter still getting adjusted to your weight? Pacquiao saw the distance in speed and probably felt much more confident about that fight.

We do know now that Bomac confirmed Pacquiao did physically sign to fight Bud, but the Spence fight was literally the one to materialize because that's the matchup he really wanted of the two. Pacquiao and Roach also have been pretty upfront about thinking Crawford would win, they knew that was going to be a much tougher fight.

Manny signed the contract to fight Crawford but Bob couldn't find a venue so the fight never happen. So he went after Spence instead. You really think Pac is shook of Crawford? He's fought EVERYBODY in his whole career. Did you start watching boxing last week?

Manny Pacquiao vs. Terence Crawford deal has collapsed

The fight that some fans were looking forward to between welterweights Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford won’t be happening now after the investors from Abu Dhabi didn’t come up with the revenue to make the fight happen. The fight would have been shown on ESPN+ pay-per-view. It would have been Crawford’s third pay-per-view event for his career and by far the biggest match for him. The Pacquiao vs. Crawford fight was supposed to have taken place on June 5th in the UAE. Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) had signed his portion of the contract to make the fight happen, but Crawford hadn’t signed. With the funds failing to come in, Crawford not signing is no big deal because there was no reason. Crawford had tunnel vision for the Pacquiao fight since his last fight against Kell Brook in late 2020. When asked after the fight if he were interested in Shawn Porter, Crawford made it clear that he wanted Pacquiao, and he felt confident he’d get the match. In hindsight, Crawford should have been realistic by choosing the easier match to put together against Porter.

It’s a big disappointment because Top Rank promoter Bob Arum had sounded so confident that the fight would happen when speaking about it months ago. Mike Coppinger revealed the news of the Pacquiao-Crawford deal collapsing. He’s not saying what the next move will be for the two welterweights. For the 42-year-old Pacquiao, he must get back in the ring as soon as possible because he’s been inactive since his 12 round split decision win over Keith Thurman in July 2019. Pacquiao can’t afford to be too picky when choosing his next fight because he needs to get active before losing his skills. If Pacquiao wants a tune-up, Amir Khan would be perfect. He’s been pushing for a fight with Manny for ages, and he’s nearing the end of his career. It’s less of an issue for Crawford, 33, to be sitting inactive because he last fought in November, beating former IBF 147-lb champion Kell Brook by a fourth-round knockout. Crawford needed this fight to get a better deal in unification with IBF/WBC champion Errol Spence Jr. That fight is doubtful to happen. If Crawford is willing to take a hard fight, he can face Shawn Porter, Vergil Ortiz Jr, Jaron Ennis, or Keith Thurman. Those are all pay-per-view-worthy fights for Crawford if he’s open to taking a risky fight.

Yeah. Spence may be more energized at 54 but unless he or DJ can figure out a way to neutralize Bud's jab, the same result will happen.
It's no just the jab, he's cooked anyway...

When he tried to box in later rounds the action stalled a bit but he couldn't outbox Bud. Then seeing that he can't do this Spence had to go back to his forte and lead an offense... but things got even worse for him when he tried to go ahead, Bud was just waiting on that.

The defensive holes, the bad habits of reaching and spreading his legs, the speed difference, the style matchup generally... I don't see a way they overcome that, not now, not a year later.
They should let the Bud chapter behind them but probably Spnece won't because it's too much money and also Spence is a proud fighter.

Bud vs Charlo would be a fun build up

This puts me in a tricky situation as a Bud and Canelo stan:beli:

Now if canelo does jermell nasty people are gonna say he was damaged goods after bud beats him:snoop:

However if jermell does great against canelo then canelo is washed :snoop:

If Bud and Canelo beat on Mel :blessed:

It'll be like when GGG and Spence beat on Ezekiel

Outside of Spence landing some wild ass haymaker he got no chance. 99 times out of 100 the better boxer always does better in the rematch. Bud knows Spence inside and out now. He'll be seeing those openings even more in the rematch.

And at 154 bud will also be stronger. People forgetting bud can barely make 147 too. Spence may be stronger but he's also gonna be even slower and more stiff. At 154 buds power gonna take another leap. I'm telling you. This won't be another prolonged ass beating. Buds gonna put him to sleep on some Sergio Martinez-Paul Williams shyt. It's gonna be nasty. And Spence's punch resistance will be even worse after this first ass beating. Spence should stay far away from big punchers from here on out. If his team truly loves him they won't let him get back in there with bud.

Real interesting all that Derrick James is the best trainer rhetoric in boxing with a strong team has gone mute since Errol lost. They had this all over media coverage even with DJ talking crap to Bomac at the presser.

In actuality it was BoMac who had a great strategy, full preparation and game plan to expose all of Spence's flaws. Let's see what Joshua does in his next fight.

"Sit back and watch this....I promise you something"- Bomac
