Too smart for our own good.

Dead ass, wrestling was more fun when I thought it was real.
That's an interesting take and I've often wondered this myself

I will say that during this time, the presentation helped you get invested easier, even if you were a "smark"

Something about today's presentation is....off

It’s overproduced today. Everything looks too clean and sterile. The whole show feels like a soulless assembly line production. Every show has the same stage and too much LED displays and too much shaky cam. For the most part they knew what they were and what they wanted to be.

I feel like a lot of "fans" today just want to be trolls... that's how they get their enjoyment.
It’s a byproduct of a product that isn’t interesting. They have to find a way to amuse themselves since the show is so dull and uninspired.

A lot of people also stick with WWE despite being unhappy with the product. There's too many other TV shows and other wrestling promotions out there to stick with WWE out of some blind loyalty.

That certainly is a part of it

Like the constant counting during the dolph/seth match

If you're that disillusioned with the product, why would you buy a ticket to make yourself the show, an action that historically changes nothing save for one case (Daniel bryan)

Listen to this crowd:ohhh:

What happened to wrestling fans:jbhmm:

They don't get this loud for matches today that they actually LIKE:jbhmm:

i think social media is the problem as well

everyone too concerned about "trending" and "going viral" instead of just enjoying the moment for what it is and being entertained like what we seeing here at Summerslam 2002

That's a great point

Wrestling is one of the few forms of entertainment made better, with less production value

A lot of people blame PG for WWE's problems but the move to HD, which took place around the same time, has done as much if not more to sterilize WWE than PG has.
