Weights: Terence Crawford 140-Pounds, Viktor Postol 139.5

The thrilling light-welterweight unification clash between Terence Crawford and Viktor Postol is set for Saturday, as both fighters made weight for their showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with WBO champion Crawford and WBC title-holder Postol putting their belts on the line to determine the lineal world champion at 140-pounds. HBO Pay-Per-View will carry the bout.

Crawford, (28-0, 20 KOs), of Omaha, Nebraska, is a two-division world champion who has won four of his last five bouts by stoppage, will be making his third title defence. He weighed in at a perfect 140-pounds.

Postol, (28-0, 12 KOs), came to prominence with a spectacular upset over the heavily favoured Argentine banger Lucas Matthysse who he knocked out in 10 rounds. He weighed in at 139.5-pounds.

For the vacant WBO featherweight title, Oscar Valdez came in at 126-pounds on the limit, and Matias Rueda was 125-pounds.

In a ten round welterweight bout, Francisco Santana was 148-pounds, while Jose Benavidez came in at 146.5-pounds.

‘The Iceman’ is under the tutelage of Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach and will be looking to defy the odds once again when he steps in against the skilled Crawford.

"This is a great opportunity to show the world I'm the best champion at 140,” said Crawford. “July 23 is going to be a great night of boxing. It’s number one against number two in a unification fight. On paper everyone says it’s a 50-50 fight but in my eyes I’m going in there looking to destroy this man. I’m looking forward to putting on a great performance. After July 23 my record will be 29 wins with 21 knockouts!" he said.

"I have been waiting for this fight for a long time and I want to thank my promoters Elite Boxing and Top Rank for making this fight a reality for the fans. With the help of my team I will be ready come July 23 - may the best man win," said Postol.

@patscorpio who you betting on when it comes to this card

I think crawford is going to by decision 8-4 too much speed but crawford is hittable. I'm putting some money on postol just a small play at +450. Postol showed more power than he ever did in his last fight and crawford was hurt pretty bad against gamboa. Worth a gamble.

I'm really excited for this matchup one of the better one this year. I'm not sure I still want to bet anymore because I want crawford to win to setup a pacquiao fight even though they been saying crawford not in the running for the fight which I don't believe. It makes too much sense if crawford wins. For pac Crawford is a legit opponent who will sell well on ppv it would do atleast 700k buys but also put him in position for another mayweather fight if he comes back. Jesses vargas and pac will do horrible numbers probably 300 or 400 k. For crawford this fight would make him a crossover star if he wins and I could see him becoming the second biggest draw after canelo.

Just look saw the weight in pics both look in great shape but postol looks slighty thicker. I don't think size will be a factor in this fight though.
