In retrospect would if have been better to have okada win at WK 10 when everyone's eyes was on the product and him become the ace then ?? Then wk11 be say him vs shinsuke or AJ or someone else .
As much as people shyt on wwe it would be like Bryan losing at mania to hhh like next year when he overcomes the game it'll be :takedat::obama::ohlawd: while fans sound be kind :sadbron::huhldup::snoop::why:
Okada did win at WK10

HOLY shyt. Marifuji was allowed not only to kick Okada in the face thirty times, and get bigger pops, but also got a W too.

What a start to the G1!!!

My three must watch matches:

Ishii/Tenzan
Sanada/Tana
Okada/Marifuji
Agreed with those 3 being must watch:whew:
Wish that Tenzan's music wasn't dubbed. I hate how you can't really hear the crowd pop:francis:
Sanada showed out. One of the guys I think can take the next step with a strong showing in the tourney. Surprised Tanahashi tapped:leon:
Marifuji lowkey beat the fukk outta Okada:wow:

Ishii/Tenzan
Sanada/Tana
Marifuji/Okada

Are great must watch matches :wow:
Booking isn't always perfect but NJPW really delivers in the ring :ehh:

Ishii always Puts on good to great matches. Really got a good match out of Tenzan

Sanada showed the fukk out. Dude has a nice look :dame: and is crisp in the ring.

This Marifuji dude was great, had nice strikes. Gonna look for more of his matches

suprised Tana tapped out. Legit marked out and hit the :gladbron:Made Sanada look legit.
Suprised Okada lost, those 5 last minutes were absolute piff

Man...3 awesome matches. Ishii proving why he's one of my top 3 favorite wrestlers in NJPW.

I just don't get how people hate on Tanahashi...he's the muthafukkin man. My favorite match of the night.
What a rub Sanada got. I hope this is used to elevate him to the next level.

The main event was piff. Haven't seen as many Marufuji matches as i've liked to have... He is brutal. I love his violent offense. The way he attacked Okada's arm was innovative to say the least. Very well done.
I must've watched that ending sequence like 15 times...That superkick was filthy...he actually touched the mat while doing it. I knew he was smooth with his stikes but damn he is still so fukkin impressive.
When he faces off against Tanahashi :banderas:

Naito is my favorite to win...but I honestly think it would be better if Marufuji won the G1. He's accomplished everything in NOAH and New Japan needs the star power...and Marufuji could fill the void AJ left. He's a vet who's earned his stripes and deserves the big stage.

fukk Taguchi and his "ass based" offense :mjlol:.

:patrice: The tags what they were. :patrice: Omega and Naito losses caught me off guard.

:whew: Honamania still running wild.

Has Tanahashi and Marafuji ever had a match?

I swear Marafuji is supposed to be where Tana is, but that's just me

They've faced each other 3 times. The more known matches were in 2012 when Maru beat Tana in the G-1 to get a title shot he obviously lost.

Marufuji hasn't drawn a dime his entire career, you replace Tana with him and New Japan is still in the dark ages post Inokism.

Marafuji is like water.

Y'all just dont understand.

I'm curious. How long have you watched Maru? From personal experience and talking a other puro fans, his style gets old fairly quick and sooner or later you start :scust: at most his matches. If you are a lifelong fan I'll like to know why that hasn't happened to you :ehh:

Started on NOAH about 10 years ago. Him and KENTA are actually what got me into non-Joshi Japanese wrestling.

Marufuji and his shytty superkicks can :camby:. Can't believe he was Misawa's trainee. fukkin' goof.

Kobashi had Go and KENTA, Kensuke had Nakajima, Misawa had....Marufuji. Who was Sug's mentor?

Go also had Misawa. Before he died, Sacho took him under his wing to prepare him for the ultimate push in NOAH :to:
