God damn it. I was watching Goto/Omega and the server crapped out before it finished. I saw the ending clip somewhere else so I think I have now seen 95% of the match. My thoughts:

1) best match of the tournament

2) in a 2 way race with Okada/Tana WK10 for MOTY

3) 5 stars no matter how strict your ratings are

4) the spot where Goto has Omega in a choke and Omega climbs to the top rope to slam him is the best spot i have seen in wrestling all year

5) omega's storytelling was A+ with the callbacks to ibushi, styles, and prince devitt (and rick rude hehe).

6) Goto deserves alot of credit too but wont get it because this weekend was Kenny fukking Omega's coming out party

7) the japanese announce team is the GOAT

Kenny Omega blessed us with back to back classics, pulling moves from his former Bullet Club bandmates and Kota Ibushi too. And at the end sending Vince to hell.

Think he's got some atrophying starting on his left arm, too. I still don't know why NJ doesn't get shyt online for the last of effort on the first half of the shows. If WWE did that, there would be nonstop complaining. It's such a chore to get through to intermission.

Wasn't feeling Omega/Naito. Omega's selling was driving me crazy. The shyt of "I can't stand, but I can run full speed all around the ring throwing knee strikes" or doing dives or power moves that take crazy leg strength happened over and over and over. I can handle that stuff if it is one or two big spots, but that was legit 80% of the match. Naito had some ridiculous recovery times as well. Idk. It was kind of plodding. I just don't enjoy Kenny Omega, serious or comedy, and NJPW in general hasn't connected with me since WK.

I noticed that when he started doing his version of the bome ye ,Bloody Sunday and then the styles clash that he was Shang Tsuning his secondary finisher move set.

I'm a fan but can understand why people either hate him or love him.

I really hope AXS TV doesn't fukk up the sound mixing on this classic match when they show it next year. They have been struggling recently with properly mixing ring and crowd noise.

Omega fukked up by not doing a Gun Stun too. Would have fit the theme well....Bullet Club member that left for WWE and one of the few westerners to make the finals (Karl Anderson obviously)
