Charlo got nervous, expended all his energy early. Castano made him fight his fight, which Mell can't fight on the inside (sans a lotto uppercut). Castano hit him a lot even if they didn't land and tired him out. Result? Charlo telegraphs his 1-2 and is much slower.

Castano gna beat his ass in a re match. Charlos can be great, but they also seem to be mentally weak. Just my 2 cents. Charlo ain't changed since the Harrison fights, and if he doesn't connect w the power....well you have this.

Look at his fight vs trout

Errol need to move up and clean out this trash division. :scust:

Tell Derrick James to drop Charlo when Errol moves up. :camby:
Lmaoooo he got tons of issues at 147 to settle. I don't think moving to a division with way harder punchers is a good idea for Spence rn

Being there live this was a back and forth ass fight. Castano is composed and handles being hurt well because Jermell definitely hurt him a lot more than he ever hurt Jermell. I don't think he really hurt Jermell as much as y'all think, and he didn't hit Jermell clean anywhere near as much as y'all think either. He tried to steal a lot of rounds with flurries and in some cases that did work because Jermell wasn't active enough(mainly the very early rounds).

Funny thing is a draw is a good decision, in a rematch I think Charlo may stop him. He finally figured out Castano was open for the left hook the whole time to the head and body, matter of fact that is when Jermell finally got momentum is when he ripped him to his body with those left and right hooks, and Castano really had no answer.

Charlo's big problem is his activity levels, he needs to be more consistent with that jab, when he pumped his jab Castano wasn't very effective at all getting his offense off. I thought it was 7-5 Charlo, wife said that shyt was a draw before the final bell and she was right. She said the rounds Charlo won were a lot more pronounced and cleaner and easier to score, but there were a lot of close rounds and she said a few of the middle rounds did flat out go to Castano too it aint like he didn't definitively win any rounds either.

:ehh:I hear you. Khan had/has skills and was lightning fast....but unfortunately the first thing that comes to mind when people think of Khan is his chin and pension to go :dead::deadmanny:at the first real sign of adversity
But that's not the case with Amir. He went many rounds with Maidana while he was out on his feet.

Yea there were like 3-4 rounds where I felt Charlo was controlling it with his jab and then Castano would flurry in the last 30 seconds while Charlo was against the ropes, where Castano would land 1-2 punches for every 5-6 thrown. I don't really have an issue with the draw, its the 117-111 card to get there. To me its the same issue as GGG/Canelo 1, i have no issue with the draw in that one because I thought Canelo won early and late while GGG won the middle, its the 118-110 card from Byrd to get there. Same dynamic in this fight.

I don't have a problem with the draw either, but imo neither fighter won more than 7 rounds in this one way or another so 9 rounds to 3 is egregious. I knew what type of fight this was before hand though so I'm not suprised it was close.
