Your user name is 'Bryan Danielson', breh. You should be the last poster to question the return of a wrestler from forced retirement.:why:

This has nothing to do with that.:francis:

Remember, im relatively new to NJPW. This was like my 2nd G1 I’ve watched and the first WK was like the one 3 years ago.

I’m relatively new to NJPW and I didn’t see it when Shibata was active.

I only really know about him via y’all hyping him up in here. So that was an innocent and legit question:dwillhuh:

Hey, we got the G1 winner right this time :ehh: last couple of years Gedo threw a curve ball at us but Ibushi was too much of a logical pick, specially when they have such a massive task in two straight Dome shows. It was the right choice.

A Shibata vs KENTA 12 minute match at WK would be :whoo:

PS: not that it really matters, but it's still interesting that today didn't couple of hundred less people than last year.

I'd actually enjoy a Goto US run on AEW :manny:

Any Goto run outside of New Japan would be dope, dude would be a great invader anywhere.

GOATsuyori Shibata back? :ohhh::ohhh::ohhh: The crowd went from :hhh: to :ohhh:to :gladbron:to :blessed: within seconds.

Did he somehow get cleared for competition because if he's back for Jan 4th:banderas::banderas::banderas:

He owes Okada The Fade Of All Fades

Kenta saw that his future was gonna be filled with tours tagging with Yo He Trash, B and said 'Fukk it!'.:lolbron:

Just when the internet might finally be completely done with BC, Gedo activated his trap card. :wow:

MiSu took the Summer off, cos he loves Winter beef:misuz::blessed: He won't win the strap, but he should. What would be more perfect for WK than Kota - a man who wants to die in the ring - vs - Suzuki - a man who wants to kill people in the ring. :manny:

Ibushi v Switchblade. What a match. :wow: The emotional storytelling they pulled off was outstanding.

Man went from getting offered a WWE Developmental contract to headlining the Tokyo Dome in 4 years. It's fukking CRAZY how Vince undervalues talent in general.

The booking for that show was :wow:

Coming out of it you've got:

Kenta joining the Bullet Club:mindblown:

Shibata potentially coming back :mindblown::mindblown::mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:
A new challenger for the title :mjlit:

Ibushi going to The Tokyo Dome.:gladbron:

Ehh ibushi isn’t someone I would just give a main roster spot breh . He was pushed in the tournament but at the same time was acting like a weirdo who didn’t want to sign to anyone to do research. He had no real hook to American audiences without going through nxt. At least naka has his persona

With that!:damn:

Nobody knows right now. I'd say it's a 50/50 chance of the angle being a build up to a return or Shibata just doing a huge favor for his buddy and doing everything he could to put over his "turn" and joining BC.

But the fact that there's a 50% chance of Shibata returning is huge considering what happened to him.

Eats crow, and my Kenny prediction was terrible, but THE WRESTLER is back holy fukk

Shibata was the real draw, still think BC is meh and has too many chiefs

Yep yep.
With that!:damn:

Godlin trynna do my like Suzuki Gun be doing Young Lions pre and post matches:russ::russ:
Shibata is practically NJ's parallel to Daniel Bryan. Incredibly talented shooter type, popularized the PK (Penalty Kick), beloved by fans.

He was a guy people thought should be in the title picture even more than Ibushi. For YEARS.

Finally got that title shot, had an absolutely incredible match with Okada, collapsed backstage afterwards. Had to retire. Now he's back. Holy shyt.

I’m a shibata hater because I disliked his style as I dont think you gotta make it real to look real if that makes sense . But I’m happy for him if he can make it all the way back . However i hope he wrestles safer

My answer was legit too. You ask if Shibata will be able to wrestle despite his injury forced retirement when your user name is a wrestler who had an injury forced retirement and managed to come back as a full-time wrestler. So my answer was that if D-Bry can, then obviously Shibata also could.

Are people still doubting Jay White after this performance ? Greatest heel in the business. What an incredible match. 5 stars.
The whole closing stretch was out of this world.
Greatest heel? All of his heel tactics come down to Gedo interference and corpsing on the floor, both of which happen in every single match including this one even though Gedo was banned from ringside after a minute.:dahell:

And I think there's something we should make clear. Jay White is a good wrestler who certainly is learning more and more to compete on a high level. But his character work isn't all that and in a company where most guys can already compete on that same high level and actually do character work, everything with him feels too early and too forced.
