Aight, KENTA/Tana had some awesome parts. The first few minutes with the strike exchanges and KENTA being an a$$hole were dope. But then match went down hard once KENTA had to be in control, even though the match wasn't long at all, it felt that way during that portion. Once they get to the final 5 minutes or so it picks up as New Japan continues to show how they've mastered finishing stretches.

Mox/Shingo...from the get go I loved how they worked the DVD on the outside as a counter to one of the shyttiest tope's I've ever seen (which is saying something when it comes to Moxley :heh:). This was great, better than Mox vs Ishii to me, basically because it had a ton of shyt I love, from the focused work on the leg, to the incredible selling - specially in 2019 - from Shingo, to comebacks, the cutoffs, and the drama at the end. This was dope :obama:

I don't think people realize how fukking amazing Shingo vs Ishii is going to be. That shyt has MOTY written all over it if Yokohama shows up and gives them a good atmosphere :blessed:

The thought of Yano stood on a street corner with a backpack full of DVD'S, in a tourist area of Tokyo like

"Ay - my man! You like Puro? :youngsabo::mjgrin::obama:"

is :pachaha:
:mjlol: Yano gonna make everyone hear that CHAOS Control mixtape one way or another

I'm generally on the same page with you but I thought Tana/Kenta was awesome, my favorite match of the G1 so far and one of my favorites of the year.

I just didn't find his control segment compelling at all, it was just "there", which was a letdown considered how the match started. Once it picked up again it went back to awesome but there were like 8 minutes or so that felt like double that time and were just bleh. The good far outweighed the bad and it's definitely a match worth checking out, but that middle portion killed the "MOTYC" vibe I thought it could've had.

Playing catch up, If Naito isn't the first to beat dude tomorrow then IDK who will be.

I like how Kenta is embracing the jeers and playing up to it.

I think they are setting Mox up to get to the final block day at Budokan as the group leader by 1 or 2 points. So Juice plays spoiler and either draws or beats him to keep him away from the Finals and gets himself a rematch for the belt.

I could see that, Just don't get why they had Naito drop them first 2 matches. shyt wasn't needed for them clowns.

Meh, the "coming from behind" story is pretty standard from these type of tourneys. It is kinda weird they basically did the same story with Ibushi :heh:
