He was a Young Lion, a whitemeat babyface that the crowd loved.
Came a long way.

Jay White is dope. A real heel doing his job and making people mad.
I love when there is a bad worker who is a heel and this gets brought up. Real heels make you want to see them lose not just not see them. I get some brehs were okay with him somehow but the boy was by and large a done from return until this summer.Jay White is dope. A real heel doing his job and making people mad.

In White's case maybe it's the opponents, but he does suddenly look comfortable in this role after two years of looking like he was remembering his Heel 102 Steps to Success every match.

Getting boo'd in Japan isn't hard. Tana gets boo'd whenever he wants to if he feels like it for the story. Do something against the ethics of NJ's traditional outlook on the business and you're going to get boo'd. That's not really an accomplishment. It's basically impossible to not be able to get heel heat in Japan.I'm not talking about on here.
He's not going go away heat with the fans. He legit get's real heel heat with New Japan's fans.
How is he not dead?
For the life of me I don't know why he let go before Okada's knees hit the mat.
Yeah, he needs to get back to his weight from a few years ago when he still went by the nickname Mr Athletic. Two matches into the G1, and its very evident that Cobb needs to drop 20 pounds or so. Lugging around that big gut on his frame isn't going to help him at all if and when he needs to have a 20-minute NJPW style match.
In fact, I could've sworn he was closer to 250 when he first burst on the scene, and certainly didn't have the massive gut then either.
