It depends what charges they have against him personally or how envovled he was all that other shyt doesnt really matter
If he can show evedence that he wasnt envolved with whatever them guys was doing which is very likely i think he can get off
Plus he has the backing & money to take it to trial
No, it's not that simple - it's a wrap. He's meat sauce in prison. Look at it this way - RICO is a violation, that's not the offense. This means that ALL the people involved are charged with the same exact crimes = they can be convicted of those same crimes; the penalty could be the same in each case. Conspiracies involve more than one person. In his case, he is not charged as one person- there are no "personal" charges - the same charges will apply to everyone. For example - if I get arrested for robbing a store, then I would have my own single charge because I committed the act by myself. But if there's 10 of us robbing the store, they could say that we were
conspiring to commit the robbery along with the actual robbery. RICO is the government's way of escalating the criminal charges because it will apply to the group as a whole. Whatever offenses they are charging him with would be IN ADDITION to violating the RICO act. Those are his co-defendants. This was a joint investigation.
The backing means nothing- 69 has proven that he's not worth the return on their investments. Think of 69 as a corporation - the stakeholders (people who back 69) are not going to see his product (brand) as making a profit for them. He has federal charges -how is he making money for them when he has been arrested. He can't tour, he cant put out new material, he cant have the same social media presence, there's restrictions on who can get involved with. Not to mention any money that he generates will go to legal fees. It's not like he's a rapper that's been in the industry for years and years and has accumulated enough wealth. You're not understanding how expensive it is to fight federal charges - it's at least $20k minimum retainer if he takes it to trial and gets a $500/hr experienced attorney who knows the judges, prosecutor, and has influence. if he gets a $100/hr attorney- that's still adding up. This is not some local DUI charge. There are companies and millionaires who have gone bankrupt, behind legal problems. They're saying 69 is worth $500K.. you do the math. That's not much in the big scheme of things. I'm not saying it's an exact situation, but unless it's a major technicality or he flips on someone with as big of a profile that he has- I don't see him getting off this.
