The article says since he’s being held without bail on the federal case he can’t be on probation so he’ll get time served

I guess that’s what they mean by being resentenced

Page 6 is a pretty reputable site. Also it's almost a given that his probation case will have to be revisited. Getting arrested is a violation of probation. But the only thing they're saying is when his probation case is revisited if he's given prison time the time he's serving now will count as time served towards that.

How can they re-sentence him without another trial?
Aint that double jeopardy if they retry him? Or is it different if his first trial was state and they retry him federally?
