The reality is that women can get into relationships whenever they want. All they have to do is say yes...they're normally single due to their own high standards, nothing more. And often the burden of sustaining a relationship is placed on the man (who needs to romance, pursue, provide, protect, etc.)

Additionally the costs of dating/relationships aren't placed on women. So that's not a burden that keeps them single.

Lets look at the 80/20 rule, which can be debunked, since it is mathematically impossible. For the top 20th percentile of men to sleep with the remaining 80th percentile of women.

The reality it is not that simple to just get into a relationship. Physical attraction, compatibility and standards do matter. And both genders can have silly standards. The end result for most women will be to settle down with a man that is "average". Now if a growing percentage of men are not getting married or even having healthy relationships. That creates a deficit.
