checked my credit score which i haven't done in a while to be honest...my boy got an alert through credit karma that someone was trying to open up an account on a new card..so that got me to log into credit karma and check to make sure theres no unfamiliar things...not one ..plus my credit score is higher than i thought...the fact i zeroed out a good amount of balances with my end of year bonus payout was a damn good thing and did wonders for my score...to continued financial responsibility in 2017

This is going to be a busy year professionally. I just went over my 2017 goals and deliverables with my boss. I got to do and complete at least 7 of the 10 objectives listed out by the COO and HR. Grind time.

I got my first taste of corporate life in 2016 and it made me regret getting into finance to be honest. Honestly, I thought a finance major would teach me how to be a financial advisor for regular folks. Pretty much all they teach you is corporate finance to one day become a corporate lackey

I've actually been exploring marketing and possibly getting into that. It probably would've been a better option to compliment my entrepreneurial endeavors.

Got my Finance degree in Dec 2015 and took the first job offer that was close to my field of study. Stuck in retirement plan administration at a accounting firm now trying to find my way out.

I feel you. I had one corporate analyst job from the beginning of 2016 until the fall. I left because my boss was blatantly discriminating against me. I managed to get another job shortly after and was fired after a month.

Kind of a blessing in disguise because I was able to learn this life ain't for me without spending years in it.

Refund in and already going back out. Car note going down to 3300 and its worth four times that so I'm in a good spot. I do need to start cutting down this 2k of cc debt but with no interest for another few months and money being saved each paycheck to pay most of the balance, I can afford to be patient. Sometimes I feel impatient but know it takes time to get everything done. Can't rush and throw all my money into paying off cc debt when it's not hurting me. Gotta focus on the big balances first then go down to the smaller ones. I do gotta try and limit my spending so I don't raise my balances too much and hurt my utilization rate. If I can keep every card under 30 and the entire rate under 15 then I'll be straight.

my utilization rate is under 5%..thank goodness for that

It seems lately in my city women are getting knocked off more than man. My plans was to move in about a year or two then I decided to stay because it's so much culture and I love being around my black people. But this shyt is ridiculous.

As I type this my 50+ year old neighbors who legit argue like fukkin 21 years old won't stfu. I can hear they stupid asses in the hall.

My company changed my commission and bonus structure just the other day, and it's garbage. Taking away guaranteed money and not grandfathering me in, especially with my being the top representative in the company..

Give me a a new district to run in January and then move my top three salesmen two weeks later..

My car so paid ahead that my next payment isn't due until the end of June.


I'm gonna pay it off before that day tho.


I do need to lower my cc utilization before making any major purchases like more computer parts. Looking like I'm around 11%. Need to get it at 8% or below with these next two paychecks. Not trying to just charge things up because of no interest and lower my credit score. I do use credit for everything due to rewards value. I just gotta start paying back more than I spend to keep the balances low.


Found some unclaimed money earlier today and put a claim in so hopefully it goes thru soon. Only like sixty bucks but that's sixty more than I had before.

Anyone else notice the avg black person sells themself short when negotiating salary during job offers? Seems we are often just happy to have a job that we dont want to risk losing out be even countering an offer.

I used to rock with mint but I spend cash more than I swipe so now I used an excel budget that has worked wonders for me
