Finally got around to withdrawing my available cash on my scottrade account. Gotta wait for them to send me a check but I'm in no rush, was meaning to do that for months now. Only like $350 total but it was unused money. Already got a Roth with fidelity so that was just sitting there without being used or monitored. I owned Sprint and some other stock with minimal money, just sold those and prolly have like a forty dollar balance left over. Maybe I'll throw it on a cheap penny stock or something. Just take a gamble. Gonna use the withdrawn funds to pay some cc debt.

I created the td ameritrade account and got the acorn app, but am I supposed to buy an s&p500 stock first using my td account? Bc when i create an account on the acorn app, it looks like it sets me up already with a bundle of stocks to allocate cents to. But that aint the same as my td account (right?) since i haven't bought anything on there... so if i were to do the round-up debit card option then would that spare change go to the stocks this app set me up with or would it give me the option to pick/link with my td amertrade account and select the s&p500 stock (if I were to buy it)?

:whoa: don't take stock advice from me per se.

I'm just still working on building up my savings first before I start investing. Rule of thumb around here is to have 6months+ worth of expenses covered before you dive into investing.

With the said, the only thing setup on TDA, is a Roth IRA(high interest retirement account).

Acorns does all the work for you. If you're in a position to start investing, there's computer algorithm based websites that do the hard core investing for you as well like acorns. The popular choice right now is "betterment".

@Primetime @Silkk this guy does a good walkthrough on investing for beginners. He even shows you how to setup a TDA account, and which stocks to pick. As well as the pros and cons to investing. It's a fairly quick read and it's interesting. If you're really bout that life, you'll cruise through it 2-3 hours tops....

And here's another good video from the breakfast club on the importance of banking black:

I feel ya, i've had my current job for 8 months now and was able to get up to 10-12 months worth of expenses covered if shyt were to ever get real. Probably could've been a lil more if not for some girlfriend thot expenses that add up over time:francis::snoop:
Had to drop them succubusses

For those of you with TD Ameritrade accounts, download Thinkorswim and do practice trades with the paper money system. Get acclimated to things before you put your real money into the market.

I know this has probably be said but I know nothing about solid investing and I make decent money with atleast 2k a month I know I can allocate to something resourceful. What would be the best route going forward if one was in my position?

I would tell you to go talk to a professional who can walk you thru your options.

You should be looking to setup at least some type of retirement account.

Anybody else doing the cloud bitcoin mining. Minegate is running a special right now 25% on whatever you buy. So far everything has been legit as far as receiving my payments. Earning $2.46 doing nothing i'm thinking about adding an additional $2500.00 to bump it up to $20.00 a day.
