first time i ever seen charlo throw like a fit in the ring being frustrated...like all over the nikka's face

should be a lesson. just cant be out here trying to knock everybody out. box and let it come. Adams knew Charlo was going to try and knock his head off....so there was no subtle way for Charlo to bait him if he just was going to be headhunting. get back to boxing breh. not saying he wasnt injured, but you gotta use the jab.

If Andrade was bored he shouldve closed the show. Regardless of Adams being better than you expected, he isn't contender level at 160. Neither is Korobov or Culclay or any of the trash either dude has fought at 160. No reason to believe they'd be head and shoulder above what they displayed yesterday against much better fighters. In fact the exact opposite is what i think.

Make Triple G vs Charlo, then Andrade Canelo and the winners fight.

not as easy as you make it seem I dont think. Andrade was trying to bait dude but he wasnt falling for it. Andrade had his hands all the way down. dude didnt want to get KTFO. you are right...Adams isnt contender level at 160 but that doesnt mean he cant give a fighter like Charlo trouble, especially if he is just out there headhunting. Zab stopped Spinks at 147, the same Spinks went to 160 and made Taylor look like a stiff when people said Taylor would destroy him. Adams could get worked by a smaller guy, but sometimes being small and fast is your advantage against bigger guys. people only look at it one way...like the bigger man is always supposed to have it easier with a smaller guy. not always the case. many instance where a small guy moved up and made bigger guy look ugly...sometimes moving back down in weight to much hype only to get worked by someone their own size who was more adept at fighting smaller guys.

when you train, everything you hit is up at your level, you hit the pads, you hit the heavy bag, its all up at your level. you shadow box at your level. then you fight a short guy and youre punching down.

but when you punch down you turn your arm into a slope.

now the short fighter can come over the top of your punches because your arms have become a slope angle.

the physics of boxing, the way everything works, even the simplest things, change when you fight a short fighter. you do all that stuff when you train, but you never had to punch down at the pads, when you hit the heavy bag, when you shadow box, then you get in the ring with a short guy and everything feels so wrong.

Showtime's Charlo-Adams Main Event Peaked At 434,000 Viewers

By Keith Idec

Jermall Charlo’s fight Saturday night drew lower viewership than the WBC middleweight champion’s previous appearance on Showtime.

A Nielsen Media Research report released Tuesday revealed that a peak audience of 434,000 tuned in to watch Charlo beat Brandon Adams in the main event of a “Showtime Championship Boxing” tripleheader from NRG Arena in Houston, Charlo’s hometown. Their 12-round, 160-pound championship match was watched by an average audience of 379,000.

The last time Charlo boxed on Showtime, his brief bout with Hugo Centeno Jr. drew an average audience of 545,000. Charlo knocked out Centeno in the second round of that scheduled 12-rounder in April 2018 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn to win the WBC’s interim middleweight title.

The Charlo-Centeno contest was the second fight of a three-bout broadcast, though. The main event that night – a 12-round majority draw between welterweights Adrien Broner and Jessie Vargas – drew a peak audience of 891,000 and an average audience of 782,000.

The 29-year-old Charlo (29-0, 21 KOs) was considered a heavy favorite over Los Angeles’ Adams (21-3, 12 KOs), which likely impacted viewership Saturday night.

The show headlined by Charlo and Adams also went head-to-head with DAZN’s stream of a card that featured WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade’s 12-round points defeat of Maciej Sulecki in the main event from Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island.

Nielsen doesn’t track viewership for streaming services. DAZN doesn’t release viewership figures, either.

Showtime’s tripleheader also included Erickson Lubin’s fourth-round knockout of Zak Attou in a WBC 154-pound elimination match. The broadcast began with Claudio Marrero’s unanimous-decision victory over Eduardo Ramirez in a 12-round WBA featherweight eliminator.

Charlo, who headlined a show in his hometown for the first time, didn’t score a knockout, yet defeated Adams soundly.

Two judges credited Charlo for winning all 12 rounds (120-108, 120-108). A third judge scored 11 of the 12 rounds for Charlo (119-109).
