I think smooth minds bailout answer he usually gives is he lives in Maryland/DC so his vote doesn’t matter.

So he gets the best of both worlds. Gets to bytch all day about the most progressive administration in his life time while doing nothing to prevent the assured stripping away of all the rights he says he values under MAGA term 2.

He is an accelerationist that thinks us becoming an authoritarian state will provoke the common man to rise up and bring in a socialist utopia so he actually wants Trump to win and his posting history proves it. He spends more time complaining about the people he has some things in common with rather than the people that hate the fact that he is breathing, wake up everyday actively plotting how to make life harder for people that look like him and want to put him in figurative (and possibly literal) chains.

Both things can be true. For SCOTUS it benefits their people in the short and long term. Smooth mind thinks it benefits his people in the long term with no regard for the irrevocable short term damage it will cause. Of course not. If Biden couldn't push through the watered down version of their agenda no way Bernie would have. But that's the entire point for some of these guys. Set expectations that can't be met.

Said he regrets voting for Hillary. But if Trump never took office we wouldn't be weighing in on Presidential immunity through this lens. Either because she wuodnt be criminal or the courts wouldn't with this conservative slant.
