Obama cannot be compared to this. Obama looked bad in the first debate the way many other Presidents looked bad in their first debate. All of them were coherent. They just lost on the policy issues.

Voters already had concerns about Biden's fitness for the job. Biden was incoherent, rambling, changing topics for no reason then trying to go back to the original topic and unable to finish the lines. He let Trump destroy him with insults and didn't respond. All of this will overshadow Biden's good moments.

This confirmed many voters concerns. Many voters like the image of strength. Trump projected that even with all his lies.
