Sure, give a NJPW wrestler shine with the TNT or AA belt, but not the main one. It’s still too early in AEW’s existence to have a non-AEW talent to win the main belt. Give it several more years.

And NJPW been having a foot in America since 2017. They’re fairly well known and toured several states already. :dahell:

Even if there hadn't been so many injuries, wish the timing would have been better. With the way Khan likes to build things up over a longer period of time, only having a month after the last PPV to work with isn't good.

But then again, if it was any later it would have only increased the chances of Okada not being able to make it with his wife being pregnant, and even then he was only able to get him this week.

No excuse for not building up the NJPW stuff with video packages and promos with the NJPW talent that can competently speak English. Could have gotten rid of the following post-Double or Nothing matches that accomplished nothing and dedicated the time for video and promos:
  1. Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir
  2. Deeb and Martinez vs. two enhancement talents
  3. Hook vs. DKC
  4. Basically the entire 6/17 Road Rager episode of Rampage
  5. Hangman vs. David Finlay
  6. Rosa vs. Shafir for the women's title because Shafir is awful and had zero business being in that match
  7. Eddie Kingston vs. Jake Hager
  8. Lethal and Singh vs. two enhancement talents
  9. Starks and Hobbs vs. two enhancement talents
  10. CM Punk and FTR vs. Max Caster and Gunn Club
  11. Wardlow vs. JD Drake

This ppv is a complete failure and it hasn’t even started yet :mjlol:

The injuries, NJPW talent being un happy/feeling disrespected, no build up, randomly thrown together matches, etc.

Okada don’t even wanna be there. They made him look like a joke. No black wrestlers on the show except for the buy in. No Warlow, MJF, so many wrestlers that are left out that would’ve made this a better show.

I ain’t buying this shyt but ima stream it just to watch this train wreck live.
