Don’t understand people wanting Tana to win. You need a champ more familiar in the States. It just doesn’t seem like good booking to put the belt on dude. :dwillhuh:

Mox been holding it down since he returned. I don’t even fukk with dude, but he’s earned a proper reign.
AEW is trying to build their presence in Japan.

I assume Japan is trying to build their presence in USA after starting up NJPW Strong in late 2020 and having that effort largely curtailed by COVID

Do you know for a fact AEW is trying to build a presence in Japan? It’s not like the NJPW Japanese audience isn’t familiar with AEW. Sure, giving the belt to Tana gives them some shine, but AEW isn’t touring Japan. They’re out here where half of the audience still ain’t aware of who these guys are. A few weeks ago Ospreay came out and got basically no response at all. You think Tana is gonna sell seats in the middle of nowhere of America? :mjlol:

Sure, give a NJPW wrestler shine with the TNT or AA belt, but not the main one. It’s still too early in AEW’s existence to have a non-AEW talent to win the main belt. Give it several more years.

And NJPW been having a foot in America since 2017. They’re fairly well known and toured several states already. :dahell:
