I think if Jermell was the one that moved up and Jermall stayed they would be pretty much exactly where they are now just in reverse. Don't think that it's much up to Charlo that he doesn't have Golovkin on his resume. I didn't like how he talked down on an Andrade fight though like Andrade backing out of a fight with Jermell like 10 years ago over some money issues would be something unforgivable.

Jermall is still better imo but fair enough if you think otherwise. Jermall looks to me more consistent throughout fights and has a better jab. But Jermell is a very good fighter by his own right too.

Jermall's 160 run has been unfortunate though I think his last win was impressive and he beat Derevyanchenko better than Golovkin or Jacobs. Let's hope he can fight a top guy next.

Maybe it’s cause 154 on the PBC side of things is loaded and Big Charlo has no one to fight in PBC Middleweight Land. If he doesn’t get a GGG/Munguia/Andrade fight next , he Should definitely move up to 168. He has a lot of realistic options with respectable fighters not even counting Plant or CokeBoy Benavidez. Im tired of this dude fighting jobbers… and want to see him test himself to show how truly good he is.

Top 5 idk... Hard to argue him being over Canelo, Inoue, Spence, Taylor, Bud. Maybe Bud if you weigh resume over everything else but Bud's also in his third division already and beat all the good but not great fighters he fought dominantly, ha achievements like 2 division lineal and one division undisputed, he aces the eye test too.

Plus you have Lopez who knocked out Commey and beat Loma convincingly. So even with the Castano fight it would be hard to argue Chalo being top 5 imo but it would secure him a top 10 place for sure.

And I agree, Jermall needs to move up if his team can't secure him any of the big fights at 160, Canelo is at 168 too anyway. Charlo beats Benavidez imo, Plant would be a tough stye matchup but Plant has a bad conditioning while Charlo's is super.

Forgot Usyk... depending if you still count his cruiserweight success he's either a surefire top 5 too or he's not in the top 10 at all.
