The difference is Haiti's infrastructure versus California's. I think it's cute. I remember when that earthquake shook the East coast a couple years ago, and folks from Cali had the :rudy: :youngsabo: :childplease:faces on. A 5.0 can fukk you up if your infrastructure and the surrounding landscape isn't anywhere close to handling the shyt. A 6.0 is a morning alarm clock if the structures and the land can handle it.

Still, thanks for the heads up. Is San Andreas gonna pop before Yellowstone, or just keep being a cocktease about it?

I'm in VA, was in prison during that quake & they locked us indoors, wouldn't let nobody outside on the yard where it's open field & actually safe :damn: my first earthquake ever, and the prison was literally located about 10 miles from the epicenter of that quake. I thought I was gon die, brehs....we all did :to: thought I wasn't gon make it home :sadbron:

Next day I was :umad: :russ: :laff: @ the guards in the guard towers tho :mjlol:

Imagine being at the top of some shyt like this

With ur :smugbiden: smug ass look, and scoped rifle, looking down at lowlifes all day w ur itchy racist trigger finger, then a 5.0 earthquake hits your ass up there for the first time in your life :gladbron:

This thread hasnt really been updated with pictures/damages since almost immediately after.

Long story short, almost all stores/gyms/businesses are completely ruined in the napa/american canyon area, a lot of houses are fukked..

not too many injured and 6 in critical condition, thankfully it wasnt worse and hope those 6 get better asap

in American Canyon? some higher middle class people I guess (the people who would work at Genetech or a decent company or something).

Hidden Brooke and Napa have rich people though.. some really rich people.. Theyll be aight.. im more worried for the businesses that got kinda fukked up in Vallejo and the bigger locations in American Canyon(that people in Vallejo travel to).

I know you like asian females friend, American Canyon is home to some of the best looking filipino women in the bay friend. Now they have no gyms to go to :damn: The In Shape gym in American Canyon entire roof collapsed in.

That's scary. I hope not too many people got hurt. So how common is earthquakes in Cali really? I know y'all get them but is it like a few times a yr or more? Fortunetly on the east coast we don't have to be bothered with that.
little weak shyt like once or every other year, we just pause for a min and go about our day, it freaks transplants out tho lol. but big ones like this? one every 10-20 yrs in various parts of the states. Luckily the State is massive, so it might be 25-40 years before your area gets an earth breaker.

the small ones a lot of people dont even notice, its one of those things, where either it hits early AM (I dont know why quakes always happen in the god damn AM) so you're asleep and don't even feel it, or if its the PM, you'd have to be sitting quiet or something, then you just hear the walls creek and feel a sway and be like

wtf-cat.gif

everyone stops what they're doing tho, because you never know if that bytch is going to grow and grow and BAM its 5.5+ thats when shyt gets crackin....literally.

someone asked why we fear the big ones? doesnt matter how strong your infrastructure is, if the earfs wantsya, its gon takesya. Ask Japan and Chile and they have superior infrastructures than us. I gotta give it to the Japanese tho, they get 6.0s often, they had a quake called a mega trust that was 9.0, luckily it was underwater but it caused a massive tsunami almost put an entire city under water and busted that nuclear power plant. we don't see shyt like that. Japan and Chile have freak quakes.

I just read that 9.0 earthquake off the shore of japan shifted the earth's axis by 4 inches and was detectable by sound via low orbit satellites. It was the 5th most powerful quakes ever recorded. :merchant:

Chile has the record tho. 9.5 back in 1960. god damn, no wonder these 2 countries are the masters of earthquake infrastructure. :damn:
