exactly how would floyd end up losing money with 50?

:whew:

Floyd aint dumb he knows if he leave Haymon and lays in bed with 50 and Arum, he better hope to god that he'd win all his future fights by KO, this is boxing the most corrupt sport ever, please believe their will be fukkery in the cards, if Floyd has no backing. 50 either just fukking dumb to see he's thinking short sided on this and Arum may be stringing him along knowing damn well Arum holds all the cards without Haymon in the picture, or he truly never gave a shyt about their so called friendship

So you actually want Floyd to quit doing what's made him the highest paid athlete in the world and to stop paying GBP and Haymon for what they do, and to go with 50 Cent and a guy who's done nothing but carry Floyd's bags forever and instead pay them for whatever they can do?

so you see it as 50 trying to muscle in on GBP and Haymon. might someone else see it as 50 seeing opportunities we don't?

keep in mind that while I casually follow boxing I definitely don't claim to understand its inner workings.

Even if Floyd wants to dump Haymon and work directly with HBO, he still cannot do it all on his own, he needs lawyers and accountants to handle it and make sure its all legit and he isnt getting ripped off. Those guys could be crooked too, so it comes down to whose advice do you trust and floyd uses haymond.

50 cent and this other guy are essentially saying we can replace Haymond and charge less than him. Well yeah you better charge less than him considering you have zero experience vs the guy who put together DLH, Hatton, Mosley and Cotto match ups.

50 cent really thinks someone wants to pay him for his inexperience and that he can some how contribute to the biggest fight ever in Mayweather-Pacquaio?

Richard Schaefer whose co-owner of GoldenBoy promotions have a Masters degree and Al Haymon has a PHD while Floyd did`nt even finish high school. But i`m sure when Floyd feels he learned enough of the boxing business world he`ll let go of Goldenboy and handle his promotional company on his own.

This is all truth. Haymon keeps Floyd rich and I don't see HOW 50 thought this was a good idea...

It just seems odd to me that even with 50's overall business sense he would assume he had more boxing specific business knowledge than others. part of me wonders if 50 himself was simply being manipulated by Arum or others to get at floyd.

400k in ppv. and no, he wasn't a superstar after Corrales. he was relatively unknown.

floyd has been a darling since his amatuer days, anyone who didint know who he was just plain didint follow the sport, after the diego fight he was a star in the boxing world, after the oscar fight he became a household name, but floyd has never been an unknown, this isnt kelly pavlik, danny garcia or nonito donaire, this guy has been in the spotlight his whole life

Yes, by 2004 he was basically 3rd or 2nd, but 05 he was second only to hopkins, once hopkins lost, floyd grabbed that top spot and never really lost it. the idea that he was some unknown is B.S

when he beat chico, jesus chavez, castillo, and also took the title off genaro hernandez very early in his development, everyone was in awe.

so floyd became the #1 p4p fighter before he fought oscar.

Relatively unknown to who? The boxing world or casual fans?

who are ppvs catered to? the casual fan. Floyd was no superstar after the Diego fight. he was a commodity in the boxing world, but that's it. do you think the casual fan gave two shyts about tonight's forty (Rios-alvarado)? fukk no. the boxing world did. outside of boxing Floyd was unknown just like tonight's classic.. Hip-hop heads weren't even up on him at that point. they were still swinging from Roy's nuts and trying to hype up Judah.
