Typical 50 Cent pulled hoe move and started trend on "How much your album sold?", "My record sell better than yours" after he lost the rap battle to the Lox and The Game, etc.

50 Cent doesn't care about Hip-Hop and have no respect the art of hip-hop anymore.

Was watching Bag Fuel and they argued that the beef was something that hurt hiphop though it was good for Kendrick. They said hiphop needs Drake making hits with other artist. How yall feel about that?
If the genre really depended on one person to make hits to keep itself alive, then that aint good

Especially when the person in question is damn near 40 :why:

There's NFL players who have cried because they lost a play off game or Super Bowl.

They ain't trying to hear the sh*t you're talking about. "You're still rich bro....nobody will care in 50 years."

It matters because it matters. Look at Jay on the radio after "Ether". You can't rationalize something like that away, because fame and success and money has nothing to do with it.

Fred.

Compare NFL players losing the Super Bowl, your season ending and all your hard work ultimately being for nothing to losing the public perception in a rap battle, brehs.

NFL players' whole purpose is to win games and championships. A rappers isn't to win a fukking rap battle. A more accurate comparison would be selling loads of records, doing worldwide tours and being filthy rich as a result. Drake has done that.

If Drake's whole purpose is selling records and being rich and big ass tours then he has no reason to engage in a battle with Kendrick to begin with.

Let alone battles against Pusha T and Common. How many tour tickets and/or records did he sell by going back and forth with them?

So no, the sh*t you're saying clearly ain't Drake's whole purpose.

Again, he was on Bron's show complaining about a battle with Pusha T six months after it happened. Swearing he could've won, if he dropped a special diss record.

Mind you, this was after "Scorpion" did 732k first week. Yet he's whining about losing a rap battle against an "irrelevant" rapper like Pusha T. But all that matters is tours and selling records and money. Stop it.

I ain't say that.

I said comparing losing the super bowl to losing a rap battle is not at all comparable.

If you want an NFL comparison it'd be like losing a fan poll on who the best WR is or some shyt like that.

That's a terrible comparison because nobody cares about that, not to the extent that Drake cared about losing to Pusha-T.

Drake (and professional athletes) care about losing. You can rationalize why that is any way you want.

I understand what 50 is tryna say or do.

I'm the grand scheme of things, the battle SHOULDN'T effect Drake overall.

The problem is, Drake hasn't really made any moves musically for us to know if it has indeed effected him.

Oh he’s made a lot of moves that shows it’s effected him…actually to be more specific, he’s made moves to show he is exactly what we thought which is a puppet and label-run toy

-Soft launch of Push Ups to gauge public sentiment
-Most of his diss tracks delayed placement on DSP’s (if they were added at all), to give him an excuse if they didn’t out-chart kendrick which they didn’t
-Deleting all traces of all/most diss tracks from his IG
-The ‘satirical’ track What Gwon Delilah :gucci:
-Pushed Keef off the sexy redd track and put himself on it. It’s not a Drake hook, not a Drake/40 track, they just made a call and added him onto a track that was already gonna be a hit
-Tried the self deprecating route by rapping over bbl drizzy
-Leaked 100 gigs of music to, again, avoid the embarrassment of nit doing well on the charts which it didn’t
-Bonus: sent shooters at the weekend’s managers house

It’s been subtle (actually, not really), but buddy really did spiral out on this. Relatively speaking for someone in drake position, Kendrick really ruined this ngga life :heh:

Would he say that to Ja? :lolbron:

Exactly what I was going to come say.

Idgaf how much money Ja got, he lost, in alarming fashion just like Drake and the people were ready to see him lose...just like Drake.

50 trying to give him a consolation prize that he wouldn't offer to anybody else. He can say that about himself because he never tried to talk that top 5 rap supremacy shyt. So getting duffed out by Jada didn't mean that much to his legacy because it was never built on being the GOAT.

Drake wanted to be perceived a certain way within the culture, he tried to manufacture “it” and that shyt is now dead lol

Fred.

So because Drake cares about winning the battle, that means the battle is therefore automatically the equivalent of the fukking Super Bowl in rap terms? :pachaha:

You can care about something while still acknowledging it's not the biggest or most important thing in your career.

There is literally no greater prize in your career as an NFL player than the Super Bowl. That is the ultimate end goal. That is what every player in the league works towards every single day. You honestly believe that a rap battle is exactly that for rappers? fukking stop it.
