Nah. Jay was on top of the world when Blueprint came out. He would have still been on the same pace if he never dissed Nas. Nas on the other hand had dropped two duds that were failures critically and sales wise. I don't like vol.2 or 3 like THAT but they were a commercial success. He was in a good space

I don't know we don't have to many examples to go from, but there's a point where good music don't seem to matter to these nikkas when u been around a while....nikkas just stop wanting to hear from you as far as casual fans are concerned....it gets to the point where only ur hardcore fanbase will give a shyt about u no matter how good the music u put out is....jay hadn't been relevant that long yet so he wuznt in danger right at that point like Nas wuz from fading away...that 6 yr run 50 talked about has sum truth to it I think.

The Passage of Time
I've read through this thread and found that those who speak of rambling are ill equipped to understand the nature of whats being conveyed.

1st he is not rambling, he is leading the conversation. He is smart enough to know that he will lead the conversation and be the voice in the room. Notice how he changes the subject because he knows he has a captive audience the silence is deafening. He was there to convey a message, not to be dictated to and he excelled at that.

Points made

Lupe Fiasco in his effort to be conscious, wasn't conscientious of what he was doing about his stereotype of Chief Keef. He did it in such a compelling way that the rapper Killer Mike commended him on his analysis.

He followed that with so-called "beef" he put in perspective and gave a history of why, how did battling become beef. Their is no beef, just battling. Beef is street shyt and no one has got down a street level, just agitation and or just pest.

Then he transitions the conversation knowing he has command of the room to the perception of women "women are born stars" a disjointed transition done in a seamless manner.

About his music not resonating with the public, he goes in a diatribe of positioning and timing. That was rambling and flailing and you can tell he's uncomfortable with not connecting, foreign territory for him.

Chris Lighty was a straight forward conversation that the interviewer controlled and he conceded to their argument.

G Unit he offered up the dysfunction of enabling and his effort to disable by not being around.

about his sit down with dj clue, a straight forward cognizant statement.

Floyd Mayweather he suffers from the same issues that Mike Tyson suffered from yes men which led to his demise and he tried to point it out but if fell upon def ears, "Mike will tell ya". hanger ons and leeches.

Cthagod not wanting street content/gun play and drugs because he doesn't live that life anymore. His rebuttal was cogent and coherent and did not fall upon deaf ears.

Being in the hood and being successful and how that can tranlaste too your downfall. Giving your old struggling friend some ends and how it impact you. And, once you figure out that your every move is under a microscope you become conscientious of your actions.

and a host of other shyt, FREE YO MIND and YO ASS WILL FOLLOW.

I expected more out of nikkas at the coli but I guess nikkas on the coli can not discern or elevate their mind too see past the bull shyt. Now I see most of these nikkas are not able to understand the obvious unless someone tells them the story.

first thing that comes out of his mouth

"the actual cycle of success from the artist perspective" blah blah when explaining the title of "Before I Self Destruct.
" He really just likes to ramble. If your blunt & straight to the point like myself, you ain't trying to hear 50's bullshyt

Ignorance is a way of life for some, my statement wasn't about bias, it was an affirmation surrounding an interview. If you listen without malice you too could understand if you chose to be a listener. But, since you're surrounded by a quagmire of bullshyt, all I can offer you is a "really nikka", your emotion drew you to this in consequential bullshyt.

He said sum real shyt about rappers having those "moments" that extend they career....if nas and jay hadn't had that battle they also could both be obsolete right now....its like those moments revitalize the fanbase to stay interested...rappers who are good at taking those issues and putting it into they music and make quality out of it tend to keep they breath and relevancy:ohhh:...guess every few yrs u gotta cook up sum crazy shyt happening to u to keep fans on they toes and entertained.

Sounds like Kanye.

Atleast he make good music :manny:

Well lookie here, 8 pages for an "irrelevant" rapper

No one has ever questioned his media relevance, hell, that's where he's always thrived. But can we in good conscience say 50 Cent is relevant in today's musical landscape? No of course not. And you can tell money and accomplishments aside this bothers him.

It is possible to ramble and make sense lol....doesn't bother me like it does sum people but I can see how people would cll it rambling and get frustrated....he's just sumbody who has a lot to say about everything.....kinda reminds me of how Pac would end end doin his own interviews sumtimes lol,its funny cuz they do have similar personalitys on sum level.

People frustrated with 50s interview are the same ones frustrated with Art Barr post, they have rambling moments but u can't write em off completely cuz you'll miss out on sum gems sumtimes....and other times its "ok u coulda left that out:rudy:"

50 has a tendancy to start to answer a question, and want to bring up another situation as an example or metaphor to answer the question with.....but sumtimes he goes into so much detail,or remembers sumthing interesting about the situation he has to bring up and goes into such length in talkin about this other situation, the listener forgets what the original question wuz in the first place:russ: so by the time he answers the question you don't have any idea of what he's answering.....best thing u can do when listening to a 50 interview is remember wtf the question wuz, bcuz once he's through talkin about sumthin else he will come back to it.....u can tell by my long winded post I do the same thing in real life.....it helps when your a little more excited in your delivery bcuz it won't come off as one of your grandaddys long storys lol, bcuz the listeners more engaged.

And a simple "And back to what I wuz saying about blah blah blah" always helps too nikka:damn:...u know damn well we forgot what the original question wuz after all that time nikka lol
