So how did Jadakiss come out the battle? How did Game come out the battle? Nas? Were they punchlines of the culture, or pillars of the culture that reminded the rap audiences that they were heavily respected in the first place?

Meanwhile, I vividly remember the sophomore efforts of Banks and Buck flopping so bad, that Curtis benched them and let Kanye get the lead in 2007, that ended Curtis domination altogether.
Look at Game’s career, music/entertainment in general, pre-battle then look at it post-battle. Kiss and them were never really that big in the first place, pause, so it’s not as noticeable. Maybe some behind the scenes shh got sour for them tho because of the beef. 🤷🏽‍♂️, I’m not trying to say who won or lost these battles…I’m just saying what I think 50s goal is in them, it’s not to rap better than you

:childplease:

Game had several good albums before he fell off. He was charting as late as 2012.

Nas? He already the GOAT and you dare not even mentioned how he fared after Curtis tried to bait him to battle.

So is it street cred? Numbers? :skip:

So he listens to WHITE PEOPLE about the perception of rap. :mjpls:

You Curtis stans are the MAGA of rap.

Jadakiss is underrated, proper lyrical rapper.

Only thing he lacked was songwriting skills to have mainstream success

It's actually funny the fact that the "consensus" here is that he lost all his battles after ja, and 20 years later, still is bigger than all of theses nikkas that "beat" him on wax. Something doesn't add up.
50 got a special talent the way that he gets under everybody skin, lol.

Almost 20 years reading the same commotion online, and this shyt never translated into the real world

It's because he was with Eminem, or is it something that you forgot? :aicmon:

Without Eminem, he would have been roasted and forgotten because he wasn't talented enough to break through in a competitive NY scene by himself. Wu Tang is still performing 30 plus years later, but G Unit doesn't even have a group anymore.

Curtis is a c00n crab in a barrel that harmed NY and held NY back, giving the South the advantage.

Lol. You bugging.

If it was because of Eminem, where is the rest of shady records artists then?
50 just carried a world tour last year by himself.

And you're not the first to use the argument about NYC.

Following your own logic, If he wasn't talented enough to break trough in NY to begin with, then what he owned NY for, or how he held NY back? Lol.

He used Eminem fame to blow up, beefed with NY using Shady Aftermath resources, used beef instead of quality of music to sell records, and eventually gotten exposed by Kanye in that sales battle.

Crabs in a barrel is what you defending @Ziggiy @Bondye Vodou

In the early 2000s, I was a 50 Cent hater. I still don't see him as a top-tier MC, but looking back, it's undeniable—everyone was taking shots at him—literally everyone. Just look at this thread: Nas, Cam'ron, Jadakiss, GZA, Jay-Z, The Game, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Ja Rule—the list goes on. I can now acknowledge that he was the man, and that's exactly why everyone was coming for him, whether we liked it or not. He didn't "win" the battles, but he's still around.
