This is where it all started... The album that changed everything :wow:.... Here's a quick gem for everybody in here that I recently discovered. Here's a link to ALL of the OFFICIAL House of Balloons instrumentals (as well as Thursday & EOS). Since I discovered this channel, I like to listen to the instrumentals and wonder how in the hell did he even start to write to this shyt.

I'm about to get into......... My zone.....

1st of all:salute: for the tag and instrumental. This album hit me like a punch from Tyson, Mayweather, and Holyfield. I had this and Thursday on constant repeat my nikka. Constant!!! There is almost nothing like those 2 albums. I zoned the fukk out when I listened to them :ahh:. Everything was on point, not one track skipped.

@Populair appreciate the mention, I can't claim first day fan, but I heard 'HOB' in late summer 2011, so I am close, anyone who knows me will remember I was putting them on or trying, back in Fall 2011, it may have taken til 2013, but they listened.....I honestly think he has just gotten sharper and more progressive creatively as he went forward, I loved 'House Of Balloons', but it's not perfect to me, he went way darker and edgier, stripped down the production, detailed his lyrics, and by the time songs like 'Enemy' and 'Til Dawn', 28', 'Valerie' were dropping, right before 'Trilogy', I knew dude was was going to be a major star, IF he wanted it....And 'Kissland' is his best complete work to me, but I think he is just improving, I think it's so inaccurate and disengenous to claim he 'fell off', or lost his true sound....

If I was an artist/songwriter then Wicked Games is one of those tracks that I'd die to have my name on. 5 minutes of absolute perfection in every sense of the word.

On a tape full of :wow: this takes the :wow: award.

Imo Thursday is his best work out of the OG mixtapes
But The first part of House of Baloons/Glass Table Girls is a master piece.
The combination of the beat and lyrics is eerily disturbing and makes you feel happy and depressed at the same time. I don't know any other song that can make some feel the complete opposites of the emotional spectrum at the same time.

I understand why but I'm sad he traded Doc for Max Martin.

It's just okay. Seeing how this dude blew up is strange to me. Was never feeling his shyt heavy like that. Lyrics and subject matter are too redundant.
