I think that's the disconnect, it's either she wants it or not. I think him trying harder won't do anything but push her away because now it's adding pressure to the interactions that lead up to sex.

He'll have a checkbox of things that needs to be done and it'll turn it robotic and if she still says no he'll be more frustrated. Maybe they aren't compatible, or it could be a circumstantial thing, she could be working extra hours.

We need more information to be fair. I'm inclined to believe she tapered the sex off because that's the usual situation. I think both parties need to have a honest conversation though.

Some sort of compromise needs to be made on both ends if we're being realistic here, if they want the marriage to work.
