They got a voice. Use it.

This is a slick way of saying that blacks aint the only one's getting killed and the other races are being quiet. Why are the blacks always so boisterous and angry?
But that's not what the Latino's in the article said. They basically said

"We as Latinos NEED to be loud and boisterous like Blacks are. We need to mimic Blacks. We RESPECT and give props to Blacks for mobilizing and showing awareness for their people"

The Coli is making it seem worse than it is.

The whole article was basically Latino community activist calling out Latinos for being too quiet and non-demanding of White people. The title of the Article and the title of the thread made it seem as if the Latino activist were on some

"Why are the Mayates hogging all the media attention :mjpls:"

when in reality, those Latino activist were actually saying the oppisite and calling out their own. I agree overall with the article. Nothing the Latino's said was attacking Blacks.

The OP moved the goalposts and switched the sentiment of the entire thread at one point. I dont care enough to pull it up, but several posters have mentioned it. The initial sentiment was Latinos are being killed, shut up blacks and depressing me with your complaints. Then it became some "Oh i just want to bring awareness".....

depressing me?:russ: why would I be depressed? if Mexicans being killed in my home state dont depress me...........
My point was that there are a bunch of weirdos on here, hence why i tagged @1984 cuz he made a thread saying "fukk this,i had enough of all this shyt,i dont care id i die:mjcry:" I called him a Beta for feeling that way, then got negged:russ: then I remember he has mental problems, not only that, but a mental problems thread was made, and many posters admitted to having some, and thats when I felt like ":lupe: shyt maybe posting all this shyt aint good for these weirdos on here"

To keep it a buck, there was someone I dont wanna tag cuz he hasnt been on since I kept reminding him he had a mental breakdown and made a thread contemplating suicide,he kept talking shyt to I told him to kill himself with his beta genes, its been a few months and he hasnt logged on:lupe:

No use in trying to argue with people that have made up their mind bro. I'm glad the people I kick it with in real life aren't like some people here.

I feel you fam, but this might sound harsh but just feel me on this.

This aint the Oppression Olympics. I think in general blacks are getting tired of other folks piggybacking off of our movements every time some tragedy happens. Get your own lane use your own voices. We as a people have historically been inclusive and empathetic to EVERYONE elses struggle, then they get on and leave us in the dust. We care that yall are under fire, but right now most black folks i know is focused on us.
I need to rep this when I can.

LOS ANGELES — A group of protesters calling for the ouster of police Chief Charlie Beck and demanding a meeting with Mayor Eric Garcetti gathered again in front of City Hall today, continuing a sit-in that began after the Police Commission determined an officer’s fatal shooting of a 30-year-old black woman was within department policy.

Tuesday’s decision sparked shouts of protest from the commission audience, which was packed with activists and some Black Lives Matter members calling for the officer to be disciplined or fired for the Aug. 12, 2015, shooting in the aftermath of a pharmacy robbery in the Crenshaw district.

The commission, after meeting in closed session for more than an hour, announced that it found fault with some of the tactics used by officers surrounding the shooting of Redel Jones, but found that Officer Brett Ramirez’s shooting of the woman did not violate LAPD policy.

Jones was shot in the 4100 block of Marlton Avenue after police responded to a call of a pharmacy robbery in the 3700 block of Santa Rosalia Drive. According to an internal report obtained by the Los Angeles Times, money and a robbery demand note were found in Jones’ clothing.

Following the Police Commission’s ruling, some protesters left the Police Administration Building and gathered a block away on the east steps of City Hall in an impromptu sit-in. The sit-in continued into late afternoon, and a small group of people remained camped there overnight.

As of 9 a.m., no arrests had been reported, according to the LAPD.

The protesters’ call for a meeting with Garcetti was not likely to meet with immediate success, since the mayor is in Washington, D.C., with Beck, attending a White House meeting on police-community relations.

Beck told reporters earlier he believes the city has made progress in improving relationships.

“I think that we have successes to share in Los Angeles,” he said. “We have been through a tremendous amount as a city, a city torn apart not that many decades ago by racial unrest and mistrust of the police. I think we’ve made a lot of progress on that regardless of what you see from a handful of people.”

At 6 p.m., the Institute for Nonviolence in Los Angeles will host a “Days of Dialogue” event in Exposition Park aimed at discussing the “future of policing.” The event is aimed at fostering one-on-one discussions between residents and police officers in an effort at sharing viewpoints and building relationships.

The organization is planning a series of similar events in the coming weeks, at locations across the city.
