So why havent the hispanics banded together like we have?! They have money, languages, politicians that are in the neighborhood?! The only reason black people are on the news heavy getting murked is because it brings ratings. if it bleeds it leads you know... :patrice:

This is a fight for them to fight for.

If you've ever seen Nightcrawler you know why these Latino murders haven't become big news.

These cacs don't care about immigrants. They don't publicize and put these on the news because they can't hop on the bandwagon like they can with Black Lives Matter. If you post about #BLM you'll get retweets and people will think you actually care.

But since tweeting about Latinos won't get them attention they don't care. fukk CACS AND fukk COPS :pacspit:

Anyone can feel tough when you have a gun :pacspit:

Lots of these Latinos and their families are immigrants that can be sent back for breathing the wrong way.

Not to mention lots of Latino people aren't a tech knowledgeable as black people.

You have take note of history of America. It's was black vs white for a long time. These immigrants are fairly new to these type of things.

Yeah but even within your communities you see the Afro Latinos and natives Systemically oppressed within these Latin counties. Its sad becuase you don't see Afro / natives represented like that. They are not offered the opportunities to advance the like the lighter skin / white ones. A lot (scratch that all) of the countries in Latin American were built on the backs of slavery / white supremacy.
That's true, but that doesn't change the fact that the majority of the Latino community is treated here in the United States as a racial other, especially including Afro-Latinos. White supremacy is hierarchical, and some folks just try to get in where they fit. In Latin American countries that's the lighter-skinned folks. In some African countries it used to be lighter skinned black people who were favored, same as British India if I'm not mistaken. It's colonialism, which Latino people did not invent.

Oppression of black and indegenous Latino people is a significant problem that's especially poignant to me because my ancestry is from Bolivia, a majority indegenous and dark-skinned place that until recently has been ruled by a tiny white Hispanic elite. It's fukked up and needs to change ASAP, and there's been some efforts to try to turn it around. But don't judge an entire, mostly marginalized and darker skinned community here in the United States off of the actions of a minority of light skinned people who benefit, perpetuate, and indoctrinate in white supremacy.

Look at who the real enemy is.

I'm pretty sure most people who posted in this thread did not read the article.

The Mexican people have to stand up for themselves other races can't do that for them. ITs why I'm not as upset about the blm movement anymore. shyt somebody gotta speak up and if it has to be a black militant group so be it. Our political black leaders have failed us. Real talk the Mexicans don't have any political leaders easy. As soon as they get one his ass sells out to be a Republican :yeshrug:
The "black militant groups" to which you refer never shied away from building coalitions, with Puerto Rican nationals, the may 19th communist party, etc...

Each group ultimately has self determination and will do what is best for them at the end of the day but in the meantime there's no disadvantage to working together when you have a common enemy.

White supremacists see this type of thread and laugh because they know when each non white group is isolated the oppressor has nothing to fear

@Raul u be on the first page in every black thread, this threads about hispanics... where u at bruh :dwillhuh:
I haven't been in TLR very much lately. Mostly in the coliseum.
For whatever reason, the country doesn't seem to care when Latinos are killed by the cops.
I wonder why that might be.

Police-involved shootings of Latinos largely ignored by national media, activists say

Despite the anger felt around the country over recent police shootings of African-Americans in a Minneapolis suburb and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the deaths of five Latinos in the last two weeks – also killed by police officers – have garnered little attention.

Melissa Ventura in Yuma, Arizona, Raul Saavedra-Vargas in Reno, Nevada, as well as three people in California – Anthony Nuñez in San Jose, Pedro Villanueva in Fullerton and Vinson Lee Ramos in Bell – were all shot and killed by police recently.

In Los Angeles County, data from the coroner’s office shows that Latinos, who make up roughly half of the area’s population, comprise more than half of those killed by cop
