Yea he can fight. If this was Jermall Charlo vs Ryder, everyone would talking about this being a solid matchup. But it's Canelo, so Ryder is amateur status

But Ryder stopped the guy Andrade was gonna face. And he beat Danny Jacobs and had him on wobbly legs. He has some pop. And he likes to come forward and bang. So it'll be exciting. But I still expect canelo to win in decisive fashion as long as he's at his best.

We all know this is a tuneup. Nobody said different. But there's much worse fighters canelo coulda fought for a tuneup fight

That was 6 years ago.. Hes 8-1 since then, should be 9-0, but got robbed in the Callum Smith fight. His performance vs Smith and beating Jacobs and Parker, back to back is legit work. Ryder been putting in work

Ryder's claim to fame is getting robbed against Smith.

He has a win over a washed Jacobs, but then that fight could have been a draw or gone either way.

He's better than say Yildrim, but even then that's not saying much.

Listen. I already said if canelo struggles then he's prolly washed .....but win or lose this is gonna be an entertaining fight. Think it'll be similar to the Liam smith and angulo fights. A lot of inside fighting and back and forth acton.

He's been doing this his whole career. At some point you gotta take a risk. Especially when that fight woulda made you the Mandatory to the guy you've been chasing your whole career. That's the whole reason Ryder has the opportunity now. Cause he stepped in and beat Zach parker after Andrade dropped out.

And remember, that was the 2nd time Andrade pulled out of the parker fight. The first time was because of a "shoulder injury"....before it got postponed he was gonna make 1.2 million. But he lagged and lagged like he always does and fukked up the bag as usual. He never wanted that parker fight. A legit 168 fighter with pop. He knew his chin would be tested. This move was just another in a long line of Andrade fukk ups. Never seen a guy sabatoge himself the way Andrade has. He put the nail in his own coffin.

I have a sympathy for Andrade whatsoever... he fukked up with that injury after the 1st Purse bid with Parker.. but I can't really fault him for passing on that low ass purse even if it was technically his fault for

I don’t know what it is with the Coli but it’s either these guys are hall of famers or bums. Ryder is a very strong, durable guy that brings a lot of heart and confidence. This is an element that Canelo has yet to see from an opponent at 168. Yeah those other guys he beat were also terrific top tier fighters, but Ryder is different. You know as white people say, “he brings his lunchpale to work, and plays the game the right way.” Very tough rugged guy 50/50 fight

Canelo may not be fully healed he’s fighting with one arm. What a champion to fight through it to bring a show to his fans

Agree with porter here. Canelo seems to have lost the meanness. And if he really doesn't have the same hunger Ryder is the perfect opponent to expose it. I think the truth will be revealed no matter what. I need a knockout. I won't be satisfied with anything else.

Saw the Callum Smith fight. He was definitely robbed. He is good at the inside slip. Not sure that works with Alvarez.
