The MJF promo really stretched the night, but I think it was worth it judging by the reaction he got. I looked at the clock at one point and we were approaching the hour mark with only one match in the book.

OC/Trent coulda shoulda been on TV if it wasn't gonna blow the angle off.

I didn't mind the Learning Tree match but it would've been a good Collision main event. Can't deny Jericho is starting to get this new shyt over though :francis:

Gonna rewatch the main events and Roddy/Os today.
The talking portion of MJF's segment only lasted 6 minutes.

Some of the story stuff would have been better saved for TV. Like the trios match is one match and angle that would have been better saved for TV - Juice coming back was really nice, and it's overshadowed by MJF coming back.

Stat and Stokely turning on Willow would have been better saved for TV - they could set up a promo segment and the turn could happen there with Stat and Stokely explaining why. Instead, the turn is overshadowed by Mercedes' first match and winning the title.

I'll give AEW credit, there was a lot of story/angle stuff they did to make me at last interested in seeing what the next chapters are in those stories. Normally the PPVs are just like good to great wrestling, which don't get me wrong I love it, but it's almost like the PPVs operate in a vacuum. Other than a title change, nothing that happens at the PPV has any real impact on the TV going forward because they rarely have stories that span multiple PPV cycles.

Yeah, agree - it has me wanting to watch Dynamite to see where some of this goes.

Using the tournaments to set world title matches for All In means that build officially starts pretty much immediately which is interesting compared to last year too.

They've got nearly two clear months between Forbidden Door and All In with that eSports arena series right before... should be a great few months. :feedme:

Stat's arc since coming back needs to be reviewed. Chased "That bytch" out of the company, lost her belt, aligned with Willow on some frienemies shyt, and let Stokely corrupt her mind :shaq:

Fine storytelling here. :ehh:

I was told AEW doesn't have storylines tho, have I been lied tooo!??! :damn:
